We know so far about past and present Presidents and politicians being part of underground clubs and Secrert Societies, such as Richard M. Nixon and George H. W. Bush being in the Bohemian Grove as well as George W. Bush and John Kerry being in the infamous Skull&Bones of Yale University. My question to you guys is this: Do you believe these societies control all or some of the major corporations of this country and around the world, influence presidental elections, and collaborate in trying to bring about a New World Order (NWO) or are they overblown and all hype but no action?

It is not all hype, but there is no massive conspiracy either. Look deeper into the members of Bohemian Grove and Skull and Bones and you will find that a lot more people were members of this clubs. More than that, a high percentage of Skull and Bones graduates go on to highly influential position in politics. I believe that Skull and Bones is like a fraternity that looks for like minded individuals at Yale, ensures that they will uphold certain political viewpoints, then the previous "bonesmen" find them positions in the White House and on it goes.

Or possibly (as it is commonly with these "clubs")
The people in them are smart?
Most of these Societies do not accept stupid people....
Although my argument does kind of go up in smoke with Kerry and bush being members...

But seriously, being a member of the most prolific "secret" societies I do not think there is a credible conspiracy.

Secret societies aren't cabals of shadowy overlords, they're just nepotism enablers, much like any other society joined by the wealthy.

This, like 99% of the conspiracy theories floating around out there, is not true. People make these theories to make life interesting. Life isn't interesting!
The twin towers were hit by two planes manned by hi-jackers.
JFK was shot by one dude.
The people have the most influence over the government, and the corporations do hold some power.. but no "secret society" dictates legislation.

I don't think it'll end up as a New World Order. But I don't think it's a totally innocent little fraternity either. They obviously have agendas such as getting their member into high positions. Why wouldn't they? If you can fill congress with people who think like you do, that's that much less bullshit to deal with.
Also, it would be like an apprentice learning a trade. You learn the ropes from someone who has first hand knowledge. Hell, if I could find some sort of club that could teach me the finer points of my future occupation, I'd do it in a heart beat.

Oh my God, a bunch of rich kids go on to be in politics! There must be some convoluted, sinister explanation. The fact that they're in an organization that gets them important connections to powerful people, have rich, influential parents, and go to a prestigious school doesn't mean dick. It's a conspiracy.
Think you're pretty clever...

It has to do with Politics, at least it's relevant. Sure, it's not absolutely proven(I don't believe in any of it) but it does have to do with Politics.

I want y'all to know this was not a unanimous decision (these rarely are). I myself voted against his installation as our next puppet...er I mean president. I voted for Guilliani/Romney.

No no no, it's the Knights Templars who are in league with those insidious stealth-jews. After they monopolize on the world's cheese market - they'll move on to increasing the natural threshold of a shark's intelligence making a very clever and efficient under-water killing machine.
