My Norton Security runs out in 7 days so I was wondering which is the best free computer protection? I'm not paying £50 for Norton to be renewed so if you could tell me which is the best free protection I would be grateful. :D

For the love of God, no!

Try a combination for the best results. There are plenty of free virus protection programs like Avast, Ad-Aware, Bit Defender and plennty more, but I highly suggest you DO NOT go with AVG Free

why exactly? two people say i should use that while you don't. Give me a good reason to consider that the majority is wrong.

We got Norton because it's the best, so that's why we pay for it.

Norton will guarantee protection from internet viruses at the cost of half of your processing power, while ruining any online gaming experience you may enjoy. Plus their support is terrible.

I for one am never making that mistake again.

AVG Free and Ad-Aware on my laptop right now.

AVG free is fine, but I also recommend ThreatFire. The combination is deadly.
