I generally don't like sigs and almost never use them. I only created the one I use here because it's the only customization this board offers. Usually the avatar is the biggest reflection of personal identity, and most people customize them, but here we have only those "level" things. I'm finding I don't even want to progress a level. I like the avatar I've got. I don't much care for bloody weapons, but that thing just looks like a Hook 'Em Horns sign.

Not being able to edit is the absolute worst. As for the inability to post multiple images, I had simply assumed that the board's software disallowed all HTML besides those four basic tags, but does it? I guess I'll find out when I post this.

Well, that answered that. Yes, the board's software disallows font tags, at least.

I don't understand why the author of this software would disallow it though. Uploading images to the Newgrounds server, which IS allowed, seems like the crazier option. Newgrounds' disk space must be eaten up with thousands of useless images.

I guess if you host thousands of Flash files, little JPEGs and GIFs are no big deal.

I think that most of the reason behind disallowing most html tags is that they want to avoid some of the more annoying spamtastic things that flood other boards like Java bombs, excessive use of frames and borders and font sizes... all of which I'm down for. The no edit thing is annoying, especially because I'm kinda anal about my spelling and grammar, but again, it's nice that people can't just go back and change what they said in order to avoid taking credit for the stupid shit they say... not as nice as fixing stuff would be, but meh.

We have fossil records of many extinct BBS's that show the development of the BBS over the history of the internet which prove this.

Naturally, you do realize we can see all of the history of the BBS, and we know Tom is God (lolz).

wanna hear something funny, of my teachers in middle school said that more and more scientists are considering intelligent design as a possibility, as far as im converned thats pretty much reversing all research done in the last 200 years, and as a result they arent really scientists their quitters. As far as I'm concerned, my argument against intelligent design is as so:

1: its true that if god or allah or whatever didnt create the universe, then what did is a good counterpoint, but for something to create the universe it has to have been created as well, therefore that question can be repeated a hundred times and no answer can be found

2: Mankind and indeed all creatures have a natural fear of death, apparently according to christianity animals have no eternal souls, so their fear of death is rational, however mankind shares this fear, and no amount of afterlife promises have removed it. In fact the most rational religion in that regard is Buddism, which works on reincarnation, therefore making your current incarnations fear of death logical, but it still leaves too many questions unanswered.

3. Carbon dating, ALL religions view the earth as thousands of years old, but science places earth's age at hundreds of millions of years, and is physical, tangible proof for evolution, where as
intelligent design relies on faith for its argument.

Thats just the way it is, note that I have used to anit church linguo, and this is not meant as an attack on the church, this is just stating how my beleifs conflict with theirs and why I have decided against intelligent design.

The whole thing about ID that gets me is that they only say "certain aspects" were created by an intelligent deity of some kind.

For example lets say evolution is taking place 30 million years ago. And humans are developing Bipedolism but there is no big toe. The " intellgent being" watching over us all puts the big toe on our feet viola intelligent design.

It assumes a source in line with a human sort of intelligence. What is a mind? We're the only ones with such a thing as far as we know.

Intelligent Design is not science. It must be taken on faith that some supernatural force is responsible for natural phenomena. That's not science. In no way is that an acceptable hypothesis by any stretch of the imagination. Science does not work on belief. Everyone on the planet could believe that the Sun revolves around the Earth, but that wouldn't make it so.

However, I think if people are curious to learn more about their religion or another religion, then they have their right to do so, as well. There is nothing that says public schools can't teach religion, just so long as they don't get hung up on, or detract from any one religion. With religion being such a huge issue, in America especially, I think there should be a broad religion class offered as an elective in high schools.
