Why do you complain?

Now I've notice that a lot of forum post mostly consist of complaining about idiotic things like "Why I hate America" or something to that effect. Now I'm not an overly patriotic person who hates anti-americans and anti-american activities( nor do I condone them). I am not willing to take a bullet for the American flag since I have an incredible fear of death and pain. But I wanted to bring that up as an example for the question that puzzles me a bit: Why do people complain about crap like this in life and online? Like it just makes no sense. For some reason people complain about stuff like this and think they have a valid argument but they don't because they are not making an arguement. They're just whining about how sh*tty a country is and why their country is better. What is the point? How can complaing about stupid sh*t like that make things better? Does it make your country more successful? No. Does it help the so called "horrible" country that you are complaing about become better? No. All it does is waste the time you could've used to actually try to do something constructive to solve the problems that actually matter. Now I know that I'm sort of counter-acting my words here because it may seem that I'm complaining, but I'm not. I'm asking what are complainers like that trying to gain or solve. What good does complaining about idiotic bullsh*t like that do for you or the world. I really want an answer and this site's forums seem to be the source of my question so I'm asking the people here. There are a lot valid and meaningfull things to complain about which can lead to the problems getting solved. But why do you complain about irrelevant stuff like why someones counrty is worse than yours?

Also note: That this topic is about post about politics not politics itself, so It should not be involved in the politics forums since it is not completely relevant. I also apologize for any mispells and if you somehow feel disrespected by this post.

This is very well thought out and I hope it doesn't get locked too soon.

Things like you've described are somewhat irrelevent in the grand scope that it's just a bunch of young people, most of whom aren't even old enough to vote, arguing points that won't change a thing. But, intelligent debate is a cornerstone of a civilized society. Too bad that more often than not debates here either start out as or become argument, moving up to flamewars and bickering. That's why I try to avoid such topics at all times.

Agreed, though, some people go way too far.

For example, Exaggerating, or to keep on bringing up the same point over and over again. That's just a horrible shitty excuse as a post, and an arguement. If they already explained "YOU IZ GHEY", they don't need to post that twice if they aren't expanding on that detail with extra information. Or if they make it seem like it's the end of the world because of that.

Also, theres wrong information, where they think "BECUZ I THINK DIS, IT'S RITE!". Well guess what? People have opinions, and if that was stated as a fact, it's most likely incorrect.

That's why I usually hate the complainers that the topic starter mentioned.
