Seriously, if I wanted to eat an apple, I'd slice one up and eat it, not overpay to eat something that looks like it's going to be delicious, and then turns out to be an apple incognito.

I always give my kid fruit with every meal instead of something fries or salty like french fries or chips.

If they don't actually deep-fry them, then it's actually an interesting gimmick but I doubt it'd go far, to be fair. If people don't eat normal apples, what makes you think they'll eat apple fries? Maybe the shape of the product will end up having a huge impact on people... Eh.

Unless you've never seen anything that's been fried, you would be able to tell that those apples are just sliced, with nothing else apparently done to them. Burger King is providing them as a 'healthy alternative' to the typical fast-food fat fest.

So, before you go bashing America about fucking APPLES, take a look next time and you'd see that there's someone actually trying to do something about the obesity problem.

Because of this thread, I have decided to take it upon myself to investigate the strange "apple fries."

Upon receiving my apply fries I realized that the actual product which did indeed come in a fry container was wrapped up in a plastic package. Upon this package it says: "Made from fresh peeled apples: -Fun fry shape, -All natural, -Dippable, -Healthy and Tasty, -Crisp and Juicy"

Now this all may be true, but after unwrapping and putting the contents into the fry container, they didn't even come close to the top! In fact there's probably only one apple's worth (or less!) of apple in these "fries"!

It did come with a small packet of caramel sauce, but I don't like caramel, so that doesn't help me at all.

Worst $1.49 I ever spent.

What a fucking stupid idea.

First off, you can buy an entire bag of apples for about £1.40.

Second, what a waste! You'd probably get about 5-6 fries out of one apple.

I appreciate that they're trying to something healthy but there are other ways.
