Please disregard all of my pre-2013 posts. I was young and borderline retarded.

Don't go to states that:
- ...border the Atlantic Ocean.
- ...start with T and end with EXAS.
- ...are in the southeast.
- ...survive off the revenue of corn and/or cheese.
- ...are half shrouded in smog and filled with racism and xenophobia.
THE MORE YOU KNOW.
...also, TL;DR.

A guy I know that manages a LaFarge plant went to Florida for a convention a couple of months ago.
He said the state was still a mess. How many years since Katrina? 3? 4?

Which state should I go to?
Texas, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Alaska, Florido, Ohio, and the Carolinas
Which state SHOULDN'T I go to? I'll make a blog about it and I'll post pics on how I'll look like on that day, so if you see a guy that looks like the guy in the pic, running around your street, you'll know it's me.

That's pretty much every state except Wyoming. No one cares about Wyoming.

As someone who lives in Buffalo, if you come here, go to a chicken wing place called Duff's. Or you could also go to the Anchor Bar, where chicken wins were first served. But Duff's taste better.

Actually the river walk is awesome. There's also the Schlitterbahn (water park, not sure if I spelled it right).

Florida, they have everything you could want there. It's warm there, they have a ton of theme parks and resorts, lots of places to shop and a lot of nice restaurants. Although I wouldn't recommend going there in the summer, it gets way too hot this time of the year. You should go in October, it's not too warm or too cold and the theme parks will have little to no wait for the rides.

I'd suggest you pop by:
California (Beautiful land scape)
New York / North East Coast Area (Very historic, and lots of land marks)
Texas (Amazing BBQ)
Avoid!!:
The Mid West (It's underwater ATM :P)
Nevada (Unless you like gambliing and hookers)
Alaska (It's empty)
They're all good states, and the only place that you'll find any amount of actual rude people is the North East Coast Area, but I'd still recommend that particular spot, because of all the war memorials and historical sites, and the Capitol Building is really beautiful if you can get inside to tour it.

Texas, despite what others have said, is actually a decent tourist spot, but probably not worth going all the way down from Canada to see. It's not that hardcore Republican stronghold that it's always stereotyped as. As Red States go, Texas is fairly pink.
California might be worth seeing, depending on how far you want to drive. L.A. has a lot of nice tourist attractions. They're pretty friendly to foreigners there.
New York is probably your best bet in terms of states to visit. NYC is really great, and it's not even that far of a drive. That should be one of your major stops along the way.
The North-East coast has a lot of interesting cities, but they all kind of run together, so I would limit the ones to visit.
Las Vegas should be the sole reason for going to Nevada if you were to travel there. And the same basic principle applies to Chicago, in Illinois.
If there's any states to avoid, it would be the mostly dull midwest states like Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and the Dakotas. And the hardcore Appalachian states like West Virginia, and Kentucky have little to offer in terms of tourism.
