Guitar Hero vs Rock Band what one!?

If you like to play solo and/or just want to play the Guitar - GH.

If you would like to try different instruments and play with more than one friend - RB.

Also, if money is a factor, GH is much cheaper.

Well there is no question at all
Rockband is the way to go

Rock Band 2, on the other hand, has been depressingly modest on details. All I know from this interview with IGN is that the game is very similar to Rock Band 1 (no major differences listed yet, at all), and that RB DLC will work on it. That's more whimper than bang. I'm sure RB2 will be amazing, but GH4 is actually enticing me, where I know near nothing at all about RB2 to be excited about.

red octane single handedly destroys guitar hero's individalality in one sweeping blow.. they should've just kept with guitars since... THE FUCKING GAME IS CALLED GUITAR HERO! It couldve been guitar hero with ALOT more customizable stages and characters and a freestyle mode or something . The song creater is the only original thing in GH4

I'm not too sure about the features in GH:WT. I think that Activision/Neversoft is building more hype then RB2. And the fact that they have 4 GH games in one year......

I like the fact RB2 has cross DLC and it's said that you can download all of the RB1 songs for free.

I've got both GH3 and Rockband for the 360. At the moment I prefer Rockband simply because its a lot more fun to play online. Also the the fact you can make your own character adds an extra sense of depth in my opinion. Don't get me wrong i'm a big fan off both, I guess its the fact that rockband has that polished effect to it.

I own both for the 360 and i much rather play Guitar Hero 3, yes rockband lets you custize your inner rockstar more but the songs are so fucking easy i beat it on expert with no problem when guitar hero im having problems with Slayer, atleast Guitar Hero is a challenge where rockband is just here is some easy songs you can play.

They both suck! What's the point of mashing buttons on a tiny plastic piece of shit that looks like a FisherPrice toy for 5 year olds? Why not become a real guitar hero and play a real guitar? Wouldn't it be great if people admired a real skill and actually respected you instead of them thinking:"Wow, check this loser out, he's been playing this dumb game for months!"
