What are the games that you absolutely HAVE to play to have a "complete" gaming life?

Gore-hound: F.E.A.R, Punisher, Gears of War, God of War, Soldier of Fortune

hmmm....CSS. its the perfect fundamental game for all fps games. although its old, starcraft. maybe rts games are something a person might enjoy. any game for a specific genre that is praised by many should be played before trying that genre. if you dont like it, then most likely you wont like any games for that specific genre.

God of War, Street Fighter, Rock Band, Final Fantasy series, Gran Turismo series, Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so many others...

The SOCOM series. If people didn't figure out how to make mod disks, it would have been the perfect game in my opinion. The new gameplay videos for SOCOM Confrontation are pretty amazing too. Too bad I have an Xbox 360...

Also, the Call of Duty games made by Infinity Ward are phenomenal. Treyarch's CoD games are hit or miss, but FPS fans will still like them.

The console Battlefield games are also some of the best. BF2:MC's campaign was pretty cool because of hotswapping. Bad Company's campaign is really mundane, but the explosions and the sound are nice.

Burnout Paradise was also well-worth the money. Just hope you don't take down a pervert with an eyetoy or an Xbox LIVEvision camera.

America's Army for the PC takes low system requirements but it can look nice if you've got a good graphics card, has decent gameplay, and it's FREE. If you're broke, play it.

F-Zero X and F-Zero GX were great too. GX's story mode is ridiculously hard. Just try to outrun Goroh.

At LEAST one of the Final Fantasy games, you must at least experience the legend.
All three of the Halos. (modern classic)
Diablo 1 and 2.
two, maybe three, of the Mortal Kombat games.
Age of Empires goes without saying.
And Command and Conquer.
If I think of more I'll come back and post them, but these are the games which made there genres what they are, without them, who knows what they would be like.

More like CS 1.6, CS:S is totally fucked up. CS 1.6 has a much better feel to it, and ofc it has the best surf maps :)
