Need help with Audacity and Exporti 2008-07-03 11:47:08 Reply

I recorded a song in Audacity 1.2.6(thought the version number would be useful), and tried to export it as MP3. It said I needed LameLib, so I got it. I tried exporting it, and it worked! But during playback it had no sound! Can anyone help?

I'm a boat. Not just any boat, A LIBERTY BOAT! It's absolutely no different from a regular boat!

Try this, Export as a wav file. Then right click on the wav file and click ' convert audio format '. This has always worked well for me.

Goto Edit>Preferences>File Formats

Under MP3 Library Version it should say "LAME 2.97"

If it says "LAME 2.96" You have an old LAME and need to get 2.97, otherwise you'll only be able to export mp3s at the lowest bitrates.
