No. The point of power metal is to be escapist as I see it. Most of it takes the form of Medieval style and themes but you can just as easily have a sci-fi themed power Metal band. Hell if you actually wanted to create songs with actual meaning behind them rather than just' I SLAY THE DRRRRAAAAAAGGGOOOOON!' then Sci-fi is actualy better as a lot of sci-fi books and stories have meanings and quotes you can sue to make a proper point.

A lot of Power Metal bands don't fulfil the Medieval stereotype. Edguy for instance is Power Metal but to my knoweldge they don't use medieval themes that much ( if at all) to my knowledge.

And also the album art is quite good. Much better than the other album covers they've had in my opinion.

Children of Bodom is a much better example, if you consider them power-metal.

Power metal is a style of heavy metal music typically with the aim of evoking an "epic" feel, combining characteristics of traditional metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. They don't have to talk about dragons and elves and stuff like that. Most do, however.

Was about to write the same - I love Dragonforce, just the cover doesn't seem to fit anything they've done so far.. you're right, might be electronica influenced.
Might not be all bad, mind, the keyboards can do a wicked job of that without changing the overall style...
