Oh, a quick queston for some of you proffesional actionscripters...
I know that the code for a button INSIDE a MC is:
gotoAndPlay(1)
(root)

But let's say that I wanted to make this button advance a frame inside of ANOTHER movieclip?
Something like:
gotoAndPlay(1)
(ball)

But that doesn't make sence of course, it's a wrong code. If someone could help me out, I'd me a lot to me. Anyways, I've put most of it together already, I just want to experiment with some thingies.

_root.ball.gotoAndPlay(1);

or you can remove the root it you want, it just says that go to the top of th timeline to find the ball MC.

Do I need to give the MC an instance name as well, or should this stay undefined? :)

if you want to play what is in the MC then yes, if you just want to go to the main timeline frame and the mc should already be playing, it depends, see what works

How many open spots, finished animations, and animators who are still working?

its going kinda good kinda bad.
we havent drawn that much attention,
and because of that many parts are still open,
meaning we have to do more than one part.

but i think its better that way,
less people to co-author N less complaints.

:P

Btw lads,
I've been talking to Neolight, and since he hasn't been posting yet, I'll tell you all:
So Neolight is this talented-artist which recently joined and took a part.
He has impressive designing abilities and will make a part soon.
I've told him to send previews now and then, so he will do alike :)

Anyways, I still need to get some previews from people who've been active for a long while.
I'll go and PM those that I'm worrying about, but really, you guys should talk about something to keep activity up!
It's almost depressing to see it's soooo calm here :O

You go, guys, give me some booty!

yeah Zerobeam has a point....this thread has slowly been slowing down it's "chat"....maybe it's because people are working on their parts? (fingers crossed) xD

this collab is hardcore man, only for real newgrounders, not for the casual visitor, plus with the entry requirements and the lots of free parts, maybe over the holidays there will be more people wanting to animate god damit

I'm keeping my fingers-crossed, and meanwhile, we can already consider that we have 1 finished collab-part.
I'm not quite sure how I'll split the collab up, but it's probably going to get split, since the size is going to be too big for NG right now.

Anyways, keep us all updated, keep it alive, and I'm sure lots of people will join eventually! ;)

Hey Zerobeam, i think it'd be
rather beneficial to make sure that you post
all the available parts at least once on each thread page, so
that way people who might make a part can easily find out
what they can do. :]

Also, i think maybe having more than one signature picture
advertising the collab will get a bit more people interested.
Just gotta advertise, maybe mention on there that there are still parts. :]

Don't think i'm picking on you though,
you really have done a fantastic job with this collab Mr. Zerobeam,
tending to it for such a long time and all. :]
I might make another little something, just for you,
But i'm still thinking about it. Lol.

Hopefully we'll see this in the portal soon! :]
