Need trippy music for video demo 2008-07-02 03:36:02 Reply

Alright, so I'm working on my Advanced Spiral Generator and I basically have it finished. There are just a few minor coding and accessibility issues to work out, but it is useable.

Before I release it, however, I would like to release a video to demonstrate what can be done with the program and I thought, what better way than to make a music video?

I have 5 spirals I have created at the following address: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/020708/3 7727_SpiralPreview.php?lightbox
use 'SPACE' to scroll through them. You can also press 'D' to pause the spiral and 'F' to fade it out.

What I'm looking for:
I song no more than 5 minutes long (3 minutes I think would be optimum) with a 'trippy' vibe to it. I would like a song that has a lot of variations in it which can be applied to many different moods.

As far as artist input to the video goes, you can be as involved as you want with it. I'm going in expecting to do all the work, but if you want to help out (and preview the program at the same time) then I'll certainly accomodate.

Also, if you're interested, version 1 of the Spiral Generator is in my submissions.

If interested please either post a link to the song you think would be appropriate here, or send it to me through a private message.

Thanks for your interest!

btw, ignore the lag - it's due to a mistake in the coding for the export feature which i will be fixing very soon. I just wanted to get this out there ASAP.

thx paul for the interest. I find most of your stuff too 'thumpy' for this project. I like your original stuff better but there's so little of it to choose from... I considered 'state of mind', but the vocals for it sound... well, amateur (which I'm sure you'd agree with looking back).

Otherwise, you have a lot of tracks... what's your new one going to be like? An original? Do you think it is theme appropriate?

Don't bother, some mod will notice this once they're online.

Out of all my songs, this one probably fits what you're looking for the most.
I also have this one here
and this song here.
All of these are over two min, and under five, and feature a lot of variation.
Trippy? I dunno.
Let me no if you decide to use one of 'em.

M-P, I think Funked Up! could indeed work nicely! I've got a couple other people interested who send me private messages. I'll be making my decision tommorow (hopefully) and then get started on this video.

After much humming and hawing I have decided to go with Musical Pants' "Now that's funked up!"

Thanks everyone for your interest and applications.

Sorry bout this delayed reply, I been busy XD

My next song is going to be a metalcore version of Sonic 3's Final Boss. I'll be posting it today or tomorrow if possible. After that I'm working on a more soothing techno original I call the Chill Wave (messages about my life lately . . . my girl wrote some of the lyrics too ^.^)
