It's because of the damn gas prices. Gas is needed to move this stuff places it needs to get. They need to make up for the loss of profits with increased prices.

Oreos would have less of an effect, most likely having no more than three components shipped from factory to factory. Probably 10-15%, my guess.

All the soda machines at my Wal-Mart went up 25¢. Now it costs $.75 for a can of pop and $1.25 for a 21 ounce bottle. Thats such a rip off, I remember when soda was $.40 for a can and $.75 for a bottle.
