Alright i was wondering if this is possible
Lets say i have mc1 which is duplicated 3 times
then i have mc2 which is also duplicated 3 times

is their a way while using hittest to figure out what mc1 it is(for instance if the duplicated mc its touching is mc11) is there a way to be able to tell

Your duplication code should rename the movieclip when you duplicate it. You can use the new instance name for hitTest and things.
