He fights Sephiroth, and Sephiroth kills him. Not with Sin Harvest (which would make a little bit of sense, being an instant KO) but just with regular attacks.

Anybody have any clue what might have happened?

There's a glitch. If you kill a boss or pass a cutscene with infinite health on, it will automatically knock your health to 2% Max and it's not infinite anymore.

I can beat sephiroth without cheating. If you use second chance or hit sephiroth when he is casting sin harvest then you can live through it. Use double mp rages as well and cast cure spells to stay alive. Don't make the mistake of staying away from sephiroth in the fight either you want to be close to him in order to deal damage and use the guard technique frequently.

Yeah, Sepiroth is hard, but he is not that hard. Seriously, level up enough, get ultimate key (or whatever best weapon is, can't remember) and pretty much all the bosses should be easy.

And yeah, friend just sucks if he can't do it without cheating.
