AUSTELL, Ga. - A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia, authorities said.

Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, S.C. scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.

Well I feel sad for the kid even though he was a idiot but thats why we have restricted zones.

Holy shit that's crazy. What fucking part of the ride hit his head to decapitate him? If you read the whole article, says a 58 year old grounds keeper died the same way, but it was a rider;s foot that hit him in the head, and didn't decapitate him. Just wondering what did that.

Also, severely fucked up for his friend to be there and watch that I bet. Standing there looking at your friend pick up his hat, then BAM, he's got no fucking head anymore. Traumatic.

I don't know if his head would've actually flown up into everyone's faces, and I seriously doubt there would've been a lot of blood that actually got on the riders, traveling at 50mph.

Maybe I'm a desensitized prick, but I could only think of how hilarious it would be if, after the head was removed, the body continued to place the hat on its stump of a neck only to have it slide back off. The body would then confusedly swish its hand in the empty space where its head once belonged before lifelessly slumping towards the ground.

It's sad, I guess, but how stupid can you be? Did he think they put up two fences covered in warnings just to inconvenience him. Even a five year old can grasp that concept. He couldn't have informed someone from the park that he lost his hat in a restricted zone? The real victims are the other park patrons who weren't able to ride the awesome Batman coaster because of he lost his already worthless head.

The sad part is that the ride is likely to be closed now while health and safety executives crawl all over it, despite it blatantly being the fault of the 17 year old climbing the fences in place to stop this sort of thing happening in the first place.
