...than it is right now? I think it deserves to grow into a bigger game developer, not too big, more like an American equivalent of Treasure Co. LTD. They would be quite possibly the only developer mainly focusing on old-school 2d games. Either that, or the Behemoth would just be a warm-up and a predessecor of a more larger developer.

Well, the Behemoth weren't planning on developing anything after Alien Hominid. Now that they're finished Castle Crashers, I'd expect they're gonna stop.

In the Q&A, they said they have more game ideas so them stopping ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Virtual Console on the Wii. Problem there is the lack of space on the Wii. Wouldn't be possible really.

While I agree that the Behemoth has the potential to become a "behemoth" of a developing company, I don't think they should be the only developing 2D games.

I'd rather die a Wolf fighting against the Herder, than die a Sheep heading for the slaughter.

Well that's exactly what they're trying to do. They're tired of all the 3d games being made with all the flashy graphics and realistic physics. We're barely getting games like they're making. That's why they're doing something that everybody else is too lazy to do. When it comes to arcade-oriented side-scrollers, you can always bet on them.

I'd be amazed if they could actually make games exclusively for MAME, which I may find unlikely. There was an attempt in making a 3d Metal Slug game to do well and failed miserably, which shows that only the 2d games do it right. What the Behemoth are doing is far more interesting than what many others are doing nowadays.

First, They would could put AH on WiiWare but never Virtual Console, that's reserved for retro games. Second, OoT isn't all that big. Third, Wii doesn't have any thing for storage save for extremely limited Hard drive storage and SD cards (which are a sham). You can't just cram it full of shit forever.

Anyway, I can't see the company getting gigantic like Ubisoft or EA. I'm sure it will expand it's current staff at some point so they can take on more projects but that's about all the growth it really needs anyway.

Ubisoft and EA are publishers, not developers.

Hey, look at Irem back in the 90s, they made lots of cool 2d shooters and brawlers.

Not really, the fact that they're independant allows them to be creative and unique. If they went mainstream then they would probably end up being like everyone else.

I wouldn't say mainstream, just another developer. My point is that it takes several years to make one singal game for them. They're gonna have to have more team members to get a few games done in a year or so. Irem for example, have made over half a dozen arcade games in a few years.

I believe they have found their niche and are doing what they do best, know how to do and want to do.

I don't think they even want to think about another game yet until they get CC out.

Once they do, hopefully it'll be something like an R-Type-style shooter.

Ubisoft and EA are publishers, not developers.

But they were, at one point, developers, and also have a number of in-house developers such as Ubisoft Montreal and EA Tiberon.

The SD cards that aren't Wii's are really cheap considering what their job is >_>. And yeah, i meant WiiWare shhhhhh. And how isn't OoT big, it's all those huge fields and shit, iunno i just don't see how two dimensions and such wins SO MUCH OVER IT, even with 10 years behind its back :\

Good point, Rockstar Games and Activision have their own developers too.

Back on topic: The Behmoth might actually be like Konami as they were in the early 90s, they were the shit back then when it comes to 2d games.

They have no plans for putting their games on the PC. But if they do, that would be nice.

ok lets clear some things up sence i know more of the wii then all of you...

AH and CC can fit on the wii... The wii's hardrive is500 mb... Oot is 45 mb and i know this because i hacked my wii and i can download VC games off the net for free.. they are saved as wad files... anyways AH is around 40 mb to and castlecrashers might be around lets say 60... as long as you delete some files or games that you dont play it could be installed.
