Ok, so he's brown. Granted. But what does "black" mean in america? IT MEANS THE CHILD OF OLD SLAVE STOCK.

Now, Obama's dad was NIGERIAN. African? Yes. Slave stock? NO. And no matter what you say, Obama's mom was white.

So at best, we have a MIXED candidate. NOT BLACK.

It drives me NUTS when people think lineage is a white-black thing, when nothing could be farther from the truth. Just because he's half african (not black, dummy, there's no such country as black, no such tribe as black, no such genetic disposition as black).

Now, I want to make this clear:

GENETIC HERITAGE IS COMPLICATED. BLACK/WHITE NOMENCLATURE IS WRONG BECAUSE IT IS AN OVERSIMPLIFICATION. It's like saying "war is bad." Yes, generally, war IS bad, but that's an oversimplification, because a war that kills fewer people than the result of not having a war (think appeasement and concentration camps had they continued unabated). So sometimes, while war is never good, sometimes it's better than no war.

Now, pro-black racists (or should I say bigots, or possibly hatemongers) try to counter argue saying "Back in the slave days, one drop of african blood made you a slave. Therefore, if you would have been a slave during slavery, you're black"

Saying things like that spits in the face of every abolitionist who died for equal rites, who died to ERASE the stain of the slave/free caste system in our culture and in cultures around the world. Scientific proof is that a person is gentically made up of INDIVIDUAL ANCESTORS. To apply the rules of an unfair system after such an unfair system has been abolished defeats the purpose of the original abolition, like jews DEMANDING to live in concentration camps becuase it's part of their racial heritage.

Black doesn't refer to, in the minds of most people, that persons heritage and family hisotry, but rather the pigmentation of their skin. Whislt, yes, technically speaking Barack Obama doesn't have what is considered the traditional black heritage, his skin pigmentation certainly fulfils the criteria of what most people classify as being black.

As far as the inevitable outcome of this election goes, the only thing that matters is that he's not a Republican, because after the last eight years the Democrats could run a potted plant against McCain and win.

Those polls would be correct, not that most Republicrats will admit it. If they admitted the truth (that, as I wrote earlier, the Democrats could run a potted plant against McCain and win), all the little Republicrats would realize that they might as well stay home on Election Day 2008.

Well... maybe not quite that. It would make it look like McCain received no support at all, rather than just being the big loser that he will inevitably be. Republicrats are going to be spending the next four years crying in their beer with that drugged-addled fuck Rush Limbaugh and saying, "Obama ain't MY President!"

Still, I can see a few scenarios in which the next President could turn out to be Hillary, and not Obama:

1) A critical number of Superdelegates are "persuaded" (money-money) to change their vote before the Democratic Convention. They're not bound to vote for whomever they told the pollsters they would vote for. They're not bound to anything. It would be a coup. The Mainstream Media would go wild! Papers would sell like hotcakes, everyone would turn on their TVs for a big dose of pharmaceutical ads... "WHAT A RACE!"

2) Obama could get "Kennedy'd" between now and November. I believe I can legally mention the possibility of such a thing, since Hillary already did and nobody locked her up for committing the federal crime of threatening a presidential candidate.

3) There could be another "ter'rist attack" (read: "Reichstag fire") between now and November. Martial law would be declared; the Constitution and the November election would be suspended; and little Georgie would be declared Emperor for the Duration (read: Permanent Emperor). Or... little Georgie might not live through the Reichstag fire. That would be tragic. Then we'd have Emperor Dick.

Those three possibilities are just off the top of my head. Others exist (except the one where McCain becomes President fair and square). A lot can happen between now and November.
