umm... no, cops suck

Anytime I pass a cop on the street, I say hi. If they want to start asking me questions, then I don't talk to them. So what I'm saying is if they talk to you first, don't, and if they don't, do.

It's always a good idea to have the local police on your side. Get in a situation where it's your word against the other guys the cops'll be all "Hey, that's the guy who helped us with that thing!" and believe you.

If I passed by a cop with my skateboard, I wouldn't be silent. I don't break the law when I go skating, and when I do, I wouldn't talk to a cop, I'd run.

Just talk to them, they're not as horrible as you think they are

If I passed by a cop with my skateboard, I wouldn't be silent. I don't break the law when I go skating, and when I do, I wouldn't talk to a cop, I'd run.

And you'd be promptly tackled to the ground. As for the sigh, it isnt my fault that you post such silly ideas. Examine your semantics before submitting such material that way you wont give people such as myself room to bite a 14 year old's head off.

In the case of a speeding ticket, Don't be a moron. You have to talk to the cop or you will probably be arrested

In your case or any other DON'T talk to the cops. Yes most cops are helpful and trying to keep the public safe, but whether they intend to or not, talking to a cop can only HURT or be neutral for you.

The consequences of talk to a cop however are quite severe due to how the the court systems and juries work. I'm clearly not a legal expert on this, and this is just one LIMITED opinion shown in the video. Still, I found the points raised in this video extremely valid.

Better safe than sorry. Do NOT talk to the cops. You might become wrongly implicated in whatever they are doing. Anything you say CAN be used against you and can be used against you WRONGLY through false witnesses, bad memory by the cop about the conversation, bad juries, etc.

They might wrongly suspect you of something or through talking to you wrongly implicate you in whatever they are investigating.

In this case, whatever you said can be twisted to hurt you. It is better to let them arrest you and then get a defense lawyer to act as a barrier between you and the cops. Whatever you would want to say is better said in the courts.

If any one IS a defense attorney or a prosecutor...please feel free to counter this.
