Every movie today is a ripoff of a ripoff of a remake of a sequel of a classic, or a movie made from a popular book/comic book/video game/TV show. No exceptions.

But seriously, the current trend in the movie industry is toward movies based on popular comic books or similar superhero-based stuff, not based on the stories of the Wild West. Iron Man? The new Hulk movie? Yet another Batman? Ah well, better than ghetto movies glorifying gang-related violence and crime.

They aren't just cowboys, it's a general style of animation. Simple dialogue or something, stuff like that.

Star Wars for example was a western if I'm not mistaken.
