Runescape 3 getting closer

For any of you who play RuneScape a quick headsup that RS3 is getting closer! No new pics up the updates but at least it lets us know its happening soon.

For any of you who hate runescape - go fuck yourselves! Its now gonna look pretty and it still rocks harder than half the other mmos out there!

Well the graphics probably won't be anywhere near next or last gen gaming because they have to keep it accessable to people with lowtech computers as runescape always has.

While I'm impressed they managed to pull off graphics like that on a browser (Come on, nobody can tell me there's a MMO with much better graphics than that and its on a browser) its still too much to grind for everything fucking thing in the game.

And the only way to even remotely enjoy it is to pay for it.

To tell you the truth, I seriously am pretty excited for the new Runescape.

It will be interesting to see how much Runescape has graphically improved from the old 2D/3D roots of Runescape Classic.

Hopefully in the future, they optimize Runescape so that it is up to standards to current next-gen game's graphics.

On the website it said that it was just butt-load of enhancements and updates, but not enough to be called RS3.

well runescapre is ok its not acualy that good because its too repetitive but the new update will make it much more enjoyable.

Wow, I can't believe the replies in this thread... I never heard Jagex state that Runescape was strictly for " Annoying 10 year-olds" Hell, I might be inclined to play it myself every now and then.

Jagex has mentioned that many of the details will even be optional, allowing for the ability to deactivate some and keep some on to reduce lag if having them all on causes speed and technical issues. Not only that, FULL SCREEN MODE. Come on, anyone who plays RuneScape can't be impressed by the fact that they're FINALLY releasing fullscreen.

It's a game that only requires an old computer, which pretty much everyone has. Most users like to flaunt their expensive systems their moms bought for them while at the same time making fun of those who play a poor-man's game.
