I'll also goto bars by myself. Some people find me weird for doing that sometimes, like man, why would you ever go into a bar alone, but actually some of the most interesting conversations ive had have been with people i will probably never see again.
I don't go to pubs on my own often, but if there's a band on that I want to see and nobody wants to go with me, then I might. The only other occasion that I'll enter a pub alone is if my mates go into the nightclub while the pubs are still open, I'll venture into the bar across the road. I don't like clubs unless they're all that's left open.
I agree though, things feel different when you enter a bar alone. I feel more able to start speaking with total strangers and some of them have been quite interesting whilst others have just been down right strange.
Think I might end up visiting a pub I've never been to in a neighbouring town at the weekend. Apparently, they have a jukebox with a pretty good selection for someone with my taste in music. This is the main reason we're going there I think. I've also been told it has a nice atmosphere, a wide range of people and apparently, one of the better located pool tables around here. All the other bars have something obstructing at least one position of their table.
Will be nice to go out this weekend. I've been under so much pressure to get work done this week and the pressure wont be gone until 5pm (or before) tomorrow evening.
