That would be pretty cool but I don't know what I would pick. Beer is my main go to drink that I can enjoy whenever but when I really want to do some hard drinking I gotta have my Irish whiskey.

Yes. This would be awesome.

Anyway, I need booze. I haven't drank in like three days, not counting the beer I had last night.

Went for some dinner at Wetherspoons earlier (Fish & Chips) and had a pint. Then got home and had a bottle of Bud and then nipped to the shop and bought a four pack of Tiger. Currently enjoying the second of the four right now.

Anyway I'm in for a good week or so. On Tuesday I've got that Valentines day crap I mentioned earlier, then I'm at a party on Friday and some all day charity event thing on Sunday. There'll be A LOT of drinking involved with all three so I can't wait. Seems like ages since I had a big night out. Although in fairness it was probably less than a fortnight ago.

You shouldn't drink when you're depressed.

I'll agree with you there. From what I've seen, that only causes more problems than it's worth. To me, drinking should almost always be a social thing and nothing more. It's pretty rare for me to drink any time other than when I'm out with mates. I just don't really see the appeal or need for it.

Last weekend made me really glad I don't drink and drive anymore.

I went to a hotel party thing to watch my friend DJ and drinks were real cheap, like happy hour prices, so I went all out. Not to mention the 8% malt liquor and a half pint of ol' Sailor Jerry I shared on the way there. It was pretty uneventful as far as... uh... hotel parties go, I guess. No hot girls besides the bartenders, not a whole lot of people. But it was free and I paid my friend $2 for gas, so I can't complain.

When we were leaving a car barreled down the street in front of us, slammed on the brakes and tried to do a wide turn. Driver lost control and the car ended up on its side. Police ran up with guns drawn, it was crazy.

Then my friend got pulled over later and had to do a breathalyzer, but passed with 0.01.

I'll drink alone occasionally as well, it's nice to just have a couple drinks and relax sometimes. I'll also drink a few beers if I'm having a nice meal like a steak or something. I agree though, drinking is definitely more enjoyable as a group activity.

Move to California. Medical licenses are so cheap and easy to obtain weed is practically legal.

Yeah you can get them for so many reasons. Literally going to the doc and saying "I have trouble sleeping" can get you one.

I don't go to pubs on my own often, but if there's a band on that I want to see and nobody wants to go with me, then I might. The only other occasion that I'll enter a pub alone is if my mates go into the nightclub while the pubs are still open, I'll venture into the bar across the road. I don't like clubs unless they're all that's left open.

I agree though, things feel different when you enter a bar alone. I feel more able to start speaking with total strangers and some of them have been quite interesting whilst others have just been down right strange.

Think I might end up visiting a pub I've never been to in a neighbouring town at the weekend. Apparently, they have a jukebox with a pretty good selection for someone with my taste in music. This is the main reason we're going there I think. I've also been told it has a nice atmosphere, a wide range of people and apparently, one of the better located pool tables around here. All the other bars have something obstructing at least one position of their table.

Will be nice to go out this weekend. I've been under so much pressure to get work done this week and the pressure wont be gone until 5pm (or before) tomorrow evening.

I'll go into pubs on my own, but usually just for a meal if I don't feel like cooking, or a quick pint if I want to sit down and read the paper. I agree though, I've had some great conversations with complete strangers. Smokers in the beer garden are often some of the best people in the world!

£3.50 for a Jagerbomb? £2 for a shot of straight Jager? I'm sure you can guess what option I went for. I really expected straight Jager to taste horrible, but it actually had a not so disgusting taste. Saved me £4.50 ordering 3 of them with no Red Bull.

Although the amount of Jager that they actually give you is pretty hilarious. I reckon if I were to spit into a glass there'd be more liquid in it.

I enjoy getting drunk by myself. Sometimes I'll be a loaner and rather than share my beer, just take it home and drink it. I like to just sit down on my couch after 12 AM, watch some TV and drink a six pack of Black Butte Porter. I hardly ever do it, but it's pretty relaxing. Whenever I'm with friends and we're drinking it can be a little stressful at times.

Dear me I think I drank enough to kill a normal man on Sunday. Started at noon with some beers while watching the footy, hit the vodka and lemonade at about four when I went to the casino and then started knocking everything back from 9pm onwards. Went to some random flat at about 1am and drank half a bottle of whiskey before passing out. Only had a bacon sandwich all day as well so their was practically nothing lining my stomach.

Black Butte is pretty good, but I've never seen the appeal of it. It's ABV is ridiculously low for a porter, and it doesn't exactly come by cheap... at least where I live. If I had a choice I'd probably choose something else, like Gonzo.

I've also had their 10 year special edition or something like that, I forget what it's called. Anyway the ABV was a lot higher and it literally had the texture of tar, it was disgusting. Totally destroyed my pallet.

They make a beer called Black Butte XXIII and it is 11% ABV, so I'm thinking this is the same thing. I haven't tried it but the 11% ABV doesn't appeal to me in a beer.

That probably means it's a high gravity beer/malt. Which is to say it'll probably taste better (be more flavorful), mate.

Going out today/tonight and getting well and truly wrecked. Got work tomorrow but I'm just pushing it to the back of my mind and concentrating on downing as much alcohol as possible.

Also had a pint of Stella yesterday because I fancied a pint rather than a bottle (which is what I mainly drink these days) and the only options were Fosters (which I'm bored of), Kronenbourg (which I've never been overly fond of) and Stella (which was surprisingly awesome). I'll definitely have a few more later today, although it seems like the kind of pint you can really only have a couple of before it becomes hard to stomach.

It's been a long time since I last had Stella, but that's the main reason I don't really drink lager. They seem to make me feel bloated pretty quick and then I never feel like drinking more. Since Guinness doesn't have the fizz that most lagers do I can drink it for the whole night, easily. That's one of the main reasons I'm a Guinness drinker. That and it's definitely the best tasting thing that most pubs serve in pint glasses!

I'm meant to be going out tomorrow night, although I'm trying to limit what I spend these days so I might end up not drinking all that much. I might even put that rum I bought a while back to use and have some before I go. STILL GOT NO COKE THOUGH!

How can you buy rum and not buy Coke?? Except when you mix with ginger ale, I mean, lol. Rum is one of my favorite things to drink. Captain Morgan 100, because it tastes way better than the Original Spiced Rum and it has a higher alcohol content.

No, seriously. The Original tastes like ass. Do y'all know what I mean?

I'm getting properly pissed next week. Especially if I lose my job, ugh.

I've been trying out different brands of alcohol lately and have been coming up bust lately. First one was a Kiwi flavored vodka which you think would be absolutely delicious, but no, it was complete and udder garbage. Second was 8PM, a blend of Indian and Scotch Whisky, I expected it to be bad based on a price of about $10 for a 750ml, but it would be better used as cleaner than as a tool to get drunk. Third was Cachaca which I expected to be like a high quality rum since it's made from sugarcane juice instead of molasses, but no, it had a terrible taste of tequila and very shitty rum.

The only good things I've bought are Havana club white, a triple sec made in South Africa, and a brandy made in South Africa, and some Agnostra bitters.

One thing that's really good at the end of a meal is the triple sec, could be Cointrue, Grand Marnier, Blue Curacao if you're in a pinch, a couple dashes of Agnostra bitters, and hot water.

Yes I am an old man.

I did buy Coke. I just drank it faster than I drank the rum.

Can I be considered a regular at a bar if the bartender knows what I'm going to order? I just walked into the bar and he pointed at the Guinness tap and started pouring. It was a nice feeling, in a odd way.

How many of you guys suffer from hangovers? I find it odd that I've never had one. Without sounding like I'm trying to brag, I usually drink more than the people I'm with, seem to still be in the best condition at the end of the night and wake up hangover free. I feel mildly dizzy when I first get up, but that's a small price to pay. Some people seem to take a day to recover.

I must be totally hardcore or something!

I have terrible hangovers, even a 12 pack of beers will have me bed ridden the next day. I suspect it's my diet because I use to not suffer from hangovers quite as bad, I also use to hydrate myself quite a bit better, all that peppermint tea and clean living.

Well ladies and gents, it's been a shocking couple of months for me and sat here I came to this conclusion when I realised. I haven't been drunk in nearly two months!

I don't even know why. I'm guessing that I kinda had my fill around Christmas and New Years. I must have just decided to go sober for a while in the back of my head, must have been going a little crazy back there. So anyway, I'm going to change this and have got a little bit of spare cash so I ask this question:

You've not been drunk in two months, you have 50 pounds (not sure in dollars). What drink would you buy?

Basically just after suggestions here, there are lots of drinks in my head but not too sure. I usually like rums like Kraken and ales along with the usuals like JD and basically any spirit. Not fussy, just think it should be something cool.

I'm assuming you're in Britland where it's cold and miserable right meow?

I find Jamesons and hot water comforting, even better if you add a couple dashes of Agnostura bitters, but that's not everyone's cup of tea. Stiff rum and cokes are always a safe bet, maybe Whisky and Ginger Ale. You could also spike hot chocolate with Baileys. I've drank a bottle of bourbon straight up before just to get drunk.

Personally I'd love to be sitting on a beach right now with a pina colada.
