Oh hi guys. I'm going to bash the PS3 because I don't like it and you have one and I don't. I hope it makes me look cool. Because, you know, criticizing someone for this sort of thing is very important for me. I hope I get my point across of the disapproval I have for this system because I believe everyone cares. Yes, my opinion is very important.

She got me the 80gig MGS4 bundle.

Chances are I won't be getting many multi-platform games for my PS3 since I already own a 360, and I have games like CoD4, GTA IV, Rock Band/Guitar Hero, Orange Box, etc. for it already, so in the future I'll probably just keep buying my multi-platform games for the 360.

I wanted a PS3 mostly for exclusive titles, as well as a Blu-ray player.

If in the future they release some multi-platform games that are obviously superior on the PS3, I'll probably go ahead and buy them for the PS3. As of right now though, most games are pretty even when it comes to graphic quality... Although, I did download the Bad Company demo on the PS3 to see how it looked compared to the 360 demo. I haven't got on the 360 to check it out again, but the PS3 version did look slightly better in my eyes, probably due to the fact that I'm playing through HDMI and my 360 is using component since it's not an Elite. Most notably the text looked crisper. Sometimes on my HDTV the text in games comes out pretty blurry and hard to distinguish. The difference definitely wasn't that big though.

This forum is plagued with Call of Duty, Metal Gear Solid, and Brawl threads. I don't see as many "I just got X console!" threads as I do "Which console is your favorite?"

I'm not trying to defend my thread by saying it's original, or even that interesting. I just didn't expect that I would be getting a PS3 from my girlfriend yesterday, and it was pretty awesome when I did, so I felt like spreading my joy.

I love how there are so many users out there who do everything in their power to point out the "short comings" of the moderators so they can, I guess in their mind, look like they'd be a better authority figure and set better examples for the community, when the fact is most of you are just 14 year old Inuyasha fans with nothing better to do than rebel against the internet man.

The point is, it's really not that big of deal that I made this thread, so everyone can calm down now and feel rest assured that I have not broken the Newgrounds forums. They still suck like always.

Ok i'm 13, it's doesn't make it much better but different than what you said, also, inyuasha or however you spell it, SUCKS. It's the most repetitive piece of crap i've ever seen.

PS3 is RROD PROOF. 40% of 360 owners get RROD.

I really want a Playstation 3 also, but I can't afford it and the games that I have to buy for it.

So I guess I'll just go for PS4 when it comes out. With games like the Halo series over, and games like Call of Duty 4 being my favorite also being multi-platform, I'll be happy with the PS4.

Are you having more fun with it than the Xbox 360?

Uh, no, that was only if you bought your 360 within like the first year of when it came out, all 360's are now improved and have been for some time, so there's hardly any chance at all that you will get the RRoD

I would say yes, but that's simply because it's a new system and the game I've been playing is MGS, which is a pretty damn good game.

I really love the whole layout of the PS3. The operating system and the market place. It's simple, but it works, and it's very speedy. Hitting the guide button the 360 still takes way too long to bring up the menu.

It's also been a while since I've sat down and actually played a game for hours using a Playstation controller. I haven't had my PS2 in over two years, and whenever I would play PS3 at my friends house I would never play for very long, or we would play Rock Band so I wouldn't be using a controller anyways. It definitely feels nice to be using this controller again. As much as I like the 360 controller, and how I think it is probably better for online FPS games, there's just a good feeling of nostalgia in using a Playstation controller, since the design has been fundamentally the same for so many years. Just reminds me of the simpler times playing games like Jet Moto, Gex, Crash Bandicoot, and Tomb Raider on the Playstation.

nice. i like my PS3 a lot. plus, i have all 4 metal gear solids, so i'm set for the next millenia.
the only problem is that playstation online isn't so great, and there aren't as many features with the PS3, like how the xbox has the dashboard. but hey, the online is FREE.

That's one thing about the PS3 controller that I always had problems with. Back when it first came out and my friend bought one I would try to play Resistance and my fingers would slip off the controller too often. I just couldn't get a good grip on R2 and L2.

The same friend ended up ordering these new little PS3 controller trigger add-ons. I tried them out at his house, before I got my PS3, and I loved them. This feels like how the controller should have been made. The triggers help maintain grip and elevate your fingers a bit. In other words, they actually feel like real triggers. My friend ended up having an extra set and he just gave them to me like the cool cat that he is. They are a bit pricey, $10 for what basically amounts to two pieces of plastic (you also get this metal piece you can snap on the front of your controller, but it doesn't really serve a purpose and I didn't put it on). But I must tell you, they feel fantastic in my opinion, and if you have problems with the back triggers on the PS3 controllers then you should try them out.

They are called Hardwear trigger grips. I'm not much for third party hardware, all of the Nyko controllers I've used sucked, but these things are amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sony tried to come up with their own, or make a new design for controllers with triggers resembling this.

Mine wanted to get me GTA IV when it was still a boom, unfortunately I bought it before. Luckly, I did it before she did. She felt sad because she really wanted to give me something and she doesn't have that much money. But boy, did I appreciatted it.
