Diablo 3?

Could it happen, is it possible? when you go to a blizzard site lately you come by a splash screen http://www.blizzard.com/us/splash.html which is blizzard's forewarning that they are going to announce a new game, so could it be the game that we once thought would never be made l:O

I made a similar topic, but since I'm keen on the subject, I'll contribute my thoughts.

I think not.
Blizzard has never made a teaser for something that has already been announced.
The ice does seem to point towards WoTLK, but it could be a new epic plot for the Diablo series.
So no matter what it is, it is something much more than something already announced.

I can't see how the ice reminds of Diablo. But i do hope they make diablo 3, cuz 1 and 2 were awesome.

If they are making a new Diablo game, I hope it more involved then just clicking, finding items and setting hot keys.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Diablo 1 and 2 but I get bored with nothing but clicking.

I just went searching on the net and found some interesting facts about that picture. If we look at the symbols, we can see that they are all from Blizzards three main titles: Diablo, Warcraft (WoW included) and Starcraft .

Top right: The Hel rune form Diablo 2
Mid left: Some symbol from WoW (I wouldn't know what it is because I don't play WoW)
Lower Left: The Protoss symbol

So it is my guess this picture is not thing more then a stylish graphic that represents Blizzards three main titles.

Well, first, the ice is melting. But the ice is probably more related to Diablo than you'd think. Act 5 in Diablo 2 was an icy mountain country.

Also, Blizzard seems to have a sense of humor. When they announced Starcraft II. the guy in the trailer said "It's about damn time." They could be doing the same thing here. Perhaps it has been so long since a dIablo game came out that hell has frozen over. Now that Diablo is coming back, hell is starting to melt again.

What I find interesting are the symbols from all three of Blizzard's major franchises. If it's not Diablo 3, then is it a cross-over project? That would be pretty strange, but maybe it's a possibility. I would put my money on Diablo 3 though.

StarCraft II was announced on the same day as the original StarCraft's release in Korea... This year's announcement is on Diablo II's anniversary.

Many signs point to yes.
