World of Pokémon

Imagine a Pokémon game on the Wii that is just like WoW, without the monthly fee. How does that sound? If you think my idea sucks I won't take it personally, just say why you think it would be a bad idea.

It would be sweet, I guess. I stopped playing Pokémon 8 years ago but I'd give it a shot.

I'd probably give it a shot as well, but I have a feeling that it would turn into a massive grind fest. After all trying to level one character can be tough enough but at least six ( probably more than that ) would be a bit of a downer.

I think it would be pretty interesting if you could play as a pokemon and level yourself up as you go on. It's an interesting idea for an MMORPG.

i havent played pokemon since pokemon red, and that idea sounds pretty cool. I'm willing to forget im playing pokemon and actually enjoy how that kind of gameplay would work. Makes sense too and totally doable. Would be even more fun to stalk some high level guy and chuck your pokeball at the monster he was trying to catch lol omg i would have so much fun.

double post sorry but if I'm playing as a pokemon then I retract my statement of wanting to play a fagatory game like that. I want a MMORPG as a trainer not a boring "OMG IM A LEVELING UP POKEMON". If im playing as a single pokemon I might as well play on runescape.

It sounds good in theory but in practice it would never work.

It'd be no different from the DS' online except you have to spend ages running around to find a battle. Pokemon isn't a game where you can exactly put a guild together to battle other monsters. It's one on one play and that's how it will always be.

There would be two on two battles. Basicly you'd partner up with a friend and take on others. And, you should be able to right click and see the other trainers Pokemon, so you don't end up taking on a level 100 while you're Pokemon are level 3 and 5. I think it'd work. Oh, and some simple 3D graphic. WoW or RS? That's the question. Maybe with a tad bit of more detail than RS.

Honestly, I think a Pokemon MMORPG would be the perfect game to compete against WoW, and actually show something for it. The only problem I see is how they would manage to create it as a group game. It wouldn't be hard to establish a living world with people running around, but most MMORPG games are based around team play, and in Pokemon you roll alone. As for fighting I think they should maintain a turn based mechanic, but change it up and make it more of a strategic thing, commanding your Pokemon to move around and shit.

I don't know how they would pull it off, but it sounds like the one game that could actually become as popular as WoW. It'd also have to be for PC, it wouldn't work on the Wii.

But I would rather prefer to be a trainer and not a Pokemon. The world would be gigantic ( Kanto,Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and so on).

I mean, just imagine it, like G/S/C in the sense that you're allowed to go to other nations but THIS TIME you of course can go to ALL OF THEM.

Even adding the Orange Islands and Sevii Islands.

All Battle Towers in respective regions have respective rules and they're the Battle Frontier for all the lucky kids that can get iunno...... high enough leveled or something? Beat ALL elite fours?

It'd be amazing. They'd have to find ways that like, masked you from everyone else while in Single Player Mode unless you want to do things like double battle versus gym leaders and other guys, but of course you'd have to make limits like 3 POKéMON AT A TIME CAN BE WITH YOU!!!!!!

As long as it is not compared to WoW, it would probably be more popular. If it's called WoW: Poke'mon Edition, only people who are WoW nerds and Poke'fans combined would play it, And most WoW nerds and Poke'fans I know hate each other.

Before I start I must say that there should be a choice to play as a Trainer or a Pokemon, but the two sides shouldn't meet each other. Seriously do you want some Trainer beat the crap out of you with his 6 pokemon and capture you? How about getting to chose betteew being a Pokemon trainer or as a single Pokemon, two worlds are better than one you know.

Ever heard of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? The only pokemon games so far that lets you play as a pokemon, very interesting. As a MMORPG yeah we have fix a few things for it to even work.

If the game makers have any comman sense there should be a choice betteew the two. If I want to play as a pokemon then I do get to that, or maybe as a trainer. Btw whatever you chose there are two worlds one for the trainers and one for the Pokemon.

RTS is NOT for ANY Pokemon game, period. Moving them around is great for trying to get out a move's range too. As for making it a MMORPG oh shit we HAVE MILLIONS TO DEAL WITH, sever space sever space gotta have sever space and a fast internet. And rolling alone as a Pokemon doesn't have to be, set up teams with friends or something to back you up. And yes this game can kick WoW in the balls.

Yes the gameplay would work better on a PC, the Wii is pure shit at getting onto the internet. Why because I have a wire for internet sitting RIGHT NEXT to the Wii, but oh wait it doesn't work like the 360 can (wireless can lag in and out a lot). And on the PC I should be able to do more things faster.

Truth, also if this game gets bad graphics then... fail. It would need to be on the PC to get the best gameplay.

I play pokemon and battle on wi-fi.

If people are battling then they should make rooms for certain difficulties so that way the experienced players like me can play without little kid's b!tching around.

there would be tons of people who will try to hack for shiny pokemon and it would be spammed with little kids who cheat. It could be kind of cool though.
