What is the NGSBT?
Its a sketchbook (yes a real life sketchbook) of pages of artwork from artists all over the world.
A way i like to think of it is like a middle finger to internet purists who think collaborations have to be cointained within the digital world.
I buy a sketchbook and i take it apart and send off all its pages to different parts of the globe to artists who've expressed interest in participating. Its a long term collaborative project, but its pretty rewarding when its completed.

How do I participate?
To participate you simply have to get your ass in gear during the phase of the project that requires your input. Phase 1 lasts from June 24th - July 24th. Thats a full month to PM me your address (PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME, not your screename. If you are shy then make up a name.) that you'd like your page sent to. I'll process it and send you a page. If you've missed the July 24th deadline then you have missed the sketchbook your participation phase. Fail.

I'm not a famous artist, should i bother?
Sure you should, this project is as much for the established artist as those trying to 'get into' the newgrounds community vibe. Its also a chance for us to see how much animators suck when they are asked to draw with pencil and paper. lmao

Can I buy my own paper and send it to you?
No. the point of this project is that it starts through me and ends through me. The paper is unique to the project anyway, i do it on purpose.

I cant draw, can i cut and paste things on?
As long as the paper doesnt begin to evolve into a 3d structure you can do whatever. Also the back of the page must remain completely free of art. So no using things that will smear or what not. Use common sense.

Do i have to pay for postage?
To have me send it to you No. YOU DO HAVE TO PAY YOUR OWN WAY TO MAIL IT BACK. It seems obvious but in the past two years theres been people who were confused why they had to pay for postage. If you are cheap then just dont participate.

Ok I've got my sketchbook entry done, when do i have to mail it back by?
The absolute deadline is August 24th, that means it has to be in my latino hand by that date. Having it be in the postal system making its way over is NOT good enough. Manage your time appropriately. Know that if you live in Australia or Mexico, it will likely take about 2 weeks for it to wind its way through customs and over to me. Plan accordingly. Its a fucking shame to go through the trouble and find that you are too late.

Heres my entry from two years ago, I chose it because we're going back to a sketchbook format. Last year we had these cardboard tiles. Back to basics. Oh its also 100% recycled paper!! I'm saving the environment or something.

Yea only 100 pages will be mailed out. First come first served. Phase 1 might end before the deadline if i have 100 already. Its only been roughly an hour and i have 25 PM's..

nah i wont, i will be posting an update of which entries have been mailed so that people know that its on its way or lost in the mail. If thats the case I'm not sending another page sorry. I have no control over that stuff

OH also i dont keep your adresses.. so if you participated last year you have to PM it again cause i got rid of it.. sorry im not as stalkery as i probably could be :(
