Jup. The world was also supposed to end in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and at the start of 2008.

The only apocalypse story that can hold any kind of water in the Meteor that's going to hit us in 2032, and that can be avoided by intervention any time before 2020.

Earth has been around for a long, long, long time. If pole switching or planatery allignment, or any other mumbo-jumbo was going to destory it, it would have been destroyed billions of years ago when these things happened for the first time.

Just because man wasn't there to witness it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Earth has seen far worse days in it's existance and no shitty hadron collider or mayan calander is going to change that. Trust me, we're safe.
