It's okay to berate someone based upon "looks" that they themselves are accountable for, i.e. being overweight, bad hair, fuck-ugly tattoo.

It is not cool to berate based upon what is/was out of their control, i.e. birth defect, accidental disfigurement, lost limb.
Unless said limb was lost doing some crazy white-folk sport like base jumping, mountain climbing, bear fucking or whatever you nutty Caucasians are doing for an adrenaline surge that week. That shit is fair game.
