ok, i have not so recently flagged about 4 or 5 submissions (that im sure are stolen) and my whistle status is still normal...how many do you have to flag or how long does it take for my whistle to "upgrade"??
its been like a month or more....
PS. I flagged one today, sneaky bastards.....

You need to flag way more than just 4 or 5 things to upgrade. You should also be flagging abusive reviews to get your whistle up a lot quicker. Nobody knows how many you need to upgrade either, so don't ask about that. Keep flagging and it'll upgrade eventually if you flagged truly abusive reviews and submissions that break the rules.

Speaking of which I heard that the whistle systems are broken and even if you are whistling correctly your whistle will still go down.

It takes 50 flagged AND deleted reviews for you to get from normal to a bronze whistle according to an experiment conducted by a well known review mod with his alt. If you are having trouble finding abusive reviews i suggest looking at rages thread. If you are unsure about what to flag check out my news post.

Also negative whislte points are worth more than the positive ones are, so flagging one non abbuseive review is worth several times as much as one good whistle point.

That's funny, as I've read the exact oppisite of that somewhere...
What do you mean by "show us"? If you mean, how many whistle points you need to get to bronze - silver - gold - deity then the answer is: You need 50 to get to bronze. That number was found out by a review mod who flagged abusive reviews with his alt and deleting them with his main. For the rest: only the admins know.

There is no way of telling how many points you have or how many points you are in the hole negatively. That is not known to anyone.

When I was talking to a review mod about the whistle system they told me that getting a review wrong is like losing 20 whistle points and getting one right was only worth 1 whistle point. Of course they said this was just an estimation.

Basically, a bunch of idiots who don't know what they should and shouldn't be flagging have gotten garbage whistles, and rather than accepting that they're wrong, they've invented some imaginary whistle glitch to blame it on instead, and start spreading it around this site like it's fact.

Its because people dont understand the meaning of the word "abuse" theyre flagging just unhelpful reviews, they need to really abusive, only flag a review if its really fuckin abusive, like insulting the author to a hiuge degree, its the only way to keep safe, its taken me 2 weeks to get my bronze whistle. Thats by being careful about what i flag.

Um there estimation is wrong I know that for sure.
I will say if you mark something abusive and it isn't and you gget penalized that is worth several correct postive marks.
I actually know the ratio, but it's unclear if I can say.

Well I have to present 1 argument. I flagged 2 reviews... both got deleted. My status went to garbage.

Maybe it did not get deleted because you flagged it, maybe they got deleted because they were blammed or something.

If you just keep blowing your whistle on abbusive or stolen things then it will be upgraded to probably bronze or silver, anyway make sure You have proof or good evidence that its abbusive or stolen

No one knows you need to flag how many times for an upgrade. But, I sure do know that you do not get an upgrade by how many to flag but someone(admins of NG),or bots might see if your account is good then you may get an upgrade.

Its not how many reveiws/submissions you flag but the points you get for it. A mod will look over what you flagged and if you were correct in flagging they offer you a certain number of points. If you were wrong, they can deduct a lot more points than they can add.. Once you have the needed number of points, your whistle will upgrade. Its just a shame that we cant see our whistle points and the boundaries.

I'm afraid that your understanding of the matter is somewhat flawed; whistle status is not given out as an award, or a prize for being a good user. There is definitely a set number of "points", if you will, that one must accumulate before going up another rank. Essentially, it's along the same lines as Exp. or blam / protect points save for the fact that those two are known in terms of their requirements.
