I have Azures, and its hard to get used to after using uTorrent for so long. But I think Azures is only for Mac, but I could be wrong.

I use to use Azures, but it got bogged down with so much extra crap that I switched to uTorrent. It's much lighter and more functional.

A torrent is basically a file that contains information to link you to other peoples' computers, where you download the ACTUAL information from those computers. The torrent alone does not contain the data of the file it gets for you. You need a program like uTorrent to open the torrent file, then the program does the rest. The only major downsides to torrents include the fact that its limited by how many people have the data you want. These people are called seeders. They give you the data you want from the torrent. No seeders means nowhere to download from. The opposite are leechers, or other people downloading the file.

BitTyrant, wich is a modification of azureus, is the fastest, but doesn't help keep the torrent alive. If you're as selfish as me you'd use it.

My favorite client is uTorrent. Azureus sucks up my resources. uTorrent is very light-weight.

Azureus has been ported to all three major platforms. I prefer the aforementioned.

As for sites, I either just google "whateverIwant torrent" or search thepiratebay or mininova.
