...President Bush, and Tony Blair have been nominatted for the Nobel Peace Prize? I found this out and I was somewhat shocked. They have been nominatted, and so if one of them wins the vote for it they win it(duh). So, does this come as a surprise to some of you, or have you already heard about this? What you do think about this? Do you think that the conditions to receive the award should be written in a less ambiguos way?

Really though, this is interesting because the panel is foreign and seems to have no motivation for choosing a particular person outside of what the award conditions specify.

and yes i do care about the nobel peace prize, and i think that if bush gets the nobel peace prize it might help him get re-elected in 2004 or it might make him look better to the U.N. Bush deserves neither of these propositions

I could see Bono getting a Nobel Peace Prize. He's actually out and about trying to settle differences between nations. Bush is out and about raising hell and bombing nations back into the stone age, under the premise of "peace."
