An Actual Global warming debate

i myself have seen plenty of stuff made by global warming alarmists and global warming skeptics, but i've never seen a video or conversation of some sort where the two of them actually debated eachother... i've only seen interveiws.

What's REALLY sad is that it's hard to tell. In high school, every time someone mentioned global warming this kid would always be like "THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING" and dismiss any discussion of the subject as liberal bullshit. Unlike other political topics, with regard to global warming I sincerely believe that the opposition has some kind of brain damage.

We did not make global warming but we are speeding it up. We can slow or possibly stop the process. Our sun is getting older which means it is getting warmer and will turn into a red giant (in a couple billion years). The point is that we need to start preserving our environment so we have more time to figure out how to stop it.

Where did you even hear that? The fossil fuels and such burn up our atmosphere. I don't think the core of the Earth has to travel through the air to burn us if it wanted to. The Sun is getting hotter and we are destroying our protective barrier.

Ever noticed how volcanoes keep erupting more constantly? Those are signs something is not right with the earth's core.

Interesting article but that was in 2003 I believe. Also, this past winter was actually our coldest in a while. Well, at least for most of America.

I may just be going out on a whim here... ok its a total theory that I have that isn't backed by any science experiments to date... but i thought I would throw it out there and see what you guys think.

Do the Earth's Magnetic Poles Change?

Ok so... we know the magnetic poles change...
We know that the magnetic field drops to zero at some point during the change...
We know we HAVE an atmosphere, but we don't know actually what sustains it.

I think that the earth is going through another shift in the magnetic poles, and that the magnetic field is weakening which in turn is weakening the atmosphere allowing more heat in from the sun.

At the same time the natural gases are preventing the heat that comes in from leaving causing the earth to heat up quicker than usual.

Those are my thoughts... any comments?

1) Gravity Sustains the Atmosphere, Diffusion of pressure and heat across the oceans makes it move.
2) Polar changes do not coincide with climate change
3) The article already said that a change in the magnetic poles would not effect us greatly.
