Because, you know, there's no way you can discuss the going-ons of your life during the car/bus/subway ride/walk to church. And it's damn near impossible once you get there to speak with your fellow parishoners on the current events of the community and how you can get evolved. And don't even try to listen intently as the pastor reads passionately from the scripture and be filled with zealousy or pride or whatever you will. And I don't think anybody has ever spoken to their families after service about what sermon ment to them and how they can be better christians and even more importantly better humans.

Natch, but that's not the gospel's fault. The word of God has been twisted and perverted by man to push his personal agenda for thousands of years, but that doesn't mean that the Bible doesn't have anything worth while to say.

Also, have you ever been to an Episcopalian church before? There's a group of people who go to church just for the sake of going if there ever was one.
