If you use songs from CD's you have bought, can you get in trouble? Is there any rule to it? I want to add a few songs to my movie from some different bands. I dont plan on selling my movie or anything.

Technically you aren't allowed to just like you aren't allowed to rip songs from a CD onto the computer but it happens so often and nothing is done about it. If you don't make a profit from it the worst that usually would happen if you are chased up is being told to remove to song.

You can always ask the artist and get full permission if you decide its an issue but then you run the risk of being denied. Then there is to the option of buying a license to use it.
