Is it just me or has xbox live gotten so much worse since cod 4 came out.
i go onto my friends lists and all i see is cod4 constantly coming up. now when ever a new game comes out everyone compares it to cod4 and says its crap.
so now my xbox is starting to become no more than a dvd player. :(

Simple solution: Love COD4.

Cause CoD4 rules over most of 360s gaming market.

It's not the fact that a lot of people play CoD 4 that annoys me (hardly anyone plays it on my FL) but the fact that it's attracting so many pre-pubescant teens who think it's cool to be homophobic, racist little shits. They all learn this from the mass amounts of idiots that play CoD 4.

The only reason CoD 4 is popular is because the MP is so simple to be good at, it has shiny graphics and because you can unlock 7 of the (almost) exact same gun in each class.

I doubt COD5 will have the same impact. A lot of people are not going to get it because it's being made by Treyarch (sp?) GOW2 is going to be the next big multiplayer game for Xbox.

Also OP, you can't say Xbox Live as a whole is getting worse because of your particular scenerio. Xbox Live is still as great of an entertainment experience as it ever has been, and COD4 made it better, not worse. You don't like COD4 then? Go play something else, or get the game, learn to like it, and play with your friends.

None of my friends really spazz about COD4 that much only 1 on my msn list plays it 24/7 , or maybe thats just me. Whenever im on COD4 live i just mute everyone too lol.

I remember the first time i played COD4. Everyone was thoughtful, were helping me out, and didn't make fun of anyone. Now all you hear are "fuck you" this and "dumbass" that.

Yeah, the only games I seem to play now is TF2 (PC) and CoD4 (XBAWKS). It seems as if gaming has got me by the balls.

Solution: Stop playing COD4 and pop in Gears of War.

Part of the problem(if there is one) is that because most people are playing COD4, its where a larde percentage of players are, and this encourages more people to join.

Yeah i know. When im on my 360 almost all i see is COD4. Im like "come on guys lets play GoW!!!". Cant remember the last time someone agreed. I dont play COD4 that uch. Mainly because there is no tactical value to the multiplayer AT ALL and for me is less rewarding than say TF2 or Warhawk on the PS3. I cant wait for GoW2. That should totally boost the online community on XBL. Ive gotta say though. I prefer the PSN community, mainly because the people there are a lot better at meeting up and playing together. GoW2 will be good though. Hope they carry out the destructible environments well.

Just wait it out. I know how it feels. All of my friends have GTA IV, and I have Rock Band. You just have to wait until a new popular game comes out, and then get it.
