I don't just think I do.
As a prank I've had guys hook up some unsuspecting poor bastard's harness to my chains and picked him several feet off of the ground. I also have picked up shitters with people in it as a joke.
Occasionally I've also had to fly down injured people to the ground for the paramedics...

You always gonna be on the crane you're on now, or will you be promoted to a new and possibly better crane?

You know those crane games you find in an arcade?
Since you're good at picking up things with a real crane, does this mean you're a master at the arcade cranes?

After the completion of each job I move to another crane.
Sometimes I end up in a crane I've run before but usually not.

I am god's gift to levers....
No but seriously. Those things are a rip off, or at least eight out of ten are.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but do you stay up there all day without coming down once? If so, what does one take for a day in a crane?

Jesus....
If you mean different kinds of cranes. There are friction cranes, hydraulic cranes, electric cranes and steam cranes.
If you mean brands, who the fuck knows.

PalTalk constantly crashes on my laptop, lately it's ridiculous. I can't stand it.
I pop in at night sometimes.

If you like have a heart attack or fall asleep, are there any safety precautions to stop the crane going haywire as you slump onto the controls or something?

does your crane make percussive music when it spins around?
I was in chicago and there were some cranes that were totally jamming out to the concert that was going on down below.
it was pretty cool.
like when they spun around they'd knock together against the base or something.

The control levers to these types of cranes are equipped with safety devices called dead man switches. Some require you to press down on them before you activate a action with the crane others have heat sensors in certain places on the lever where your hand and fingers should be while operating it.
If I was to have a heart attack and die and happened to lean against the lever the crane would turn off.

HAHA. That would be cool though. My crane just makes a high pitched whine while it swings.

If something was rigged incorrectly or deemed dangerous after it was picked up. Then the blame would fall squarely on the shoulders of the man that hooked up the load.

Nope. I run whatever they tell me to.

Just thinking about the crane swaying with the load and wind is enough to make me shit my pants
View must be beautiful though
What is some of the, sort of, terminology that you use, e.g. flying down (it took a couple reads to understand what that was) or jib (still don't know what the fuck that is, or why it needs to be sensually lubed every 5 seconds)?
And, are you bilingual?
And, who do you love more-your son or your wife?
And- do you enjoy cheeseburgers? I personally do but I also can't say no to a nice chalupa or gordita that comes my way!

Some of the people that I have allowed to climb up with me have gotten sick due to the swaying of the crane, haha.

There's tons of stuff. Such as making a pick (lifting a load), get it high (signal given by flagmen to let me know I'm clear to do as I feel), jacking (raising or lowering crane), stripping verticals (removing wall and column forms), pouring mud (pouring concrete) and tons others.
Also, the jib is the part of the crane where the trolley hangs from. It's basically the arm of the crane. I also have a counter jib that holds my counter weights and machine deck.
And, are you bilingual?
I can swear in ten languages and am fluent in Spanish.
And, who do you love more-your son or your wife?
Plead the fifth.

Cheeseburgers ftmfw

I'd have to say getting my dick sucked while in the crane. Either that or the times I've flown injured men down to the ground.

I do have a chair to sit in while operating but I have been known to run this bitch while standing occasionally. Also, some cranes are equipped with a very comfortable "captains chair". While others are not much more than a slab of metal.
My seat in this particular crane is cushioned and quite comfortable.

After reading this I have a strange urge to run along the top of a crane, and probably fall to to death.
It would be worth it though.
