Look i don't mind if some one tells me theres another post like mine, hence "use the search bar" its short, simple and keeps you up to date. What i don't like is ten people telling me the same thing i saw it the first time i don't need you other 9 to tell me on my mistakes.

Now the times that you make a thread you really don't always check to see if some one else did it, so if some one told you once "use the search bar" you have no fucking right to repeat him, other words STFU.

You're not getting the reason why people do this. It's because they don't take the time to read the thread before they post. They're just too ambitious to get the first word in, even though a part of them is telling them "SOMEONE ALREADY SAID THAT, YOU FUCKING IDIOT".

Sometimes, it's an honest mistake. Like say, someone might have already gotten the point I'm trying to get across one minute before I post this, because it takes time to think, and type.

But what's annoying is if you made a topic that someone made eight years ago and no one has posted anything and that's the only topic like it ever made. Over 9,000 people start complaining "this thread has been done before. This thread is a super epic fail which must be deleted and your profile along with it." That's annoying.

That stuff annoys me too, and I've tried many times in areas I mod to stop people from doing it, I even ban for it on occasion. It's a complete "post count +1" move, or a "look at me, I understand the rules and junk, mod me up!" thing. Either way, it's sad, it's unneeded and it's just gonna make you look like a dick.

The worst part is when you actually did search for similar threads but nothing came up, only to find that the thread has been done before, only it was worded differently. Either the search feature has to be improved, or people need to stop being dicks and realize that nearly every topic in the BBS has been done before at least once and actually contribute to the thread.

I'm pretty sure if the OP was willing to make this done-to-death thread, he would be willing to find an older one and manage to get some new information in there. I doubt that though because everything that has needed to be said has already been said.
