I disagree. Newgrounds has definitely changed. Remember when general was as much of a community as, say, the regulars lounges? Back when NG was smaller, it was much more closely nit, stuff like inside joke threads worked because soon enough most of the BBS would know what that inside joke was and everything was gay and merry, when threads like warriormage vs gaia existed, the general forums at least were seriously different to the way they are now, and don't you try and deny that.
