I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks that Sprite A Day is overrated crap. =D
Well, it certainly doesn't beat 'Sprite' a Day which was a long running series back in the early 1970's. It was primarily based on a circular narrative structure which dipped in and out of the lives of actual Sprite soft drinks. There were many main characters, most of which had such complicated dialog and character development that it was hard for most audience members to understand what was going on. It was also difficult for the producers of the series to actually submit the series and/or obtain valuable awards becasue Adobe Flash was not avialable in the early 1970's and also Newgrounds was not online until 1999.
The most famous of the characters, 'Hubert' was best known for his contribution in a local stamp shop which was next to a bakery. He was an alcoholic and throughout the story, he would struggle through the impending addiction, desperately scrabbling at the edges of survival. So yeah, that was a good series, didn't which many awards though, but of a shame though. Sprite a Day is cool too.
