Hello Everyone!

My name is Olivia and I am a research student in Missouri I am currently doing research on the racism and differences between Africans and Blacks. I am looking for people who are willing to answer a few questions either on this forum or via email.

However, this forum topic is one that I am seeking opinions from both Blacks, Africans and White Americans. If you are interested send me a message on this website or at [e-mail].

Just for this forum purpose I want to know if you believe that Africans and Balcks do not get along? If not, why? Why does a race have so much hatred between them? What do you think can be done to eliminate the hate.

For Caucasian Americans: I also would like to know your view on seeing a race that has so much hatred.

It's taught to them, or they don't have exposure.

It can be eliminated by not making race an issue, and that goes for most social issues.

I didn't even know there was hate between africans and black people. I'm black and I don't hate Africans nor do any of my black friends. BTW welcome to Newgrounds where there is no such thing as intelligence so don't expect any intelligent answers. But if you do want smart answers then atleast tell us what you would like our opinions on.

I fall under the "black" (Jamaican) category, and I feel that I get along with Africans and African-Americans just fine. As a matter of fact, I get along with everyone just fine...as long as they get along with me.

Hmmm

First off, "African American" is largely an incorrect term. Most black Americans today have absolutely ZERO connection with their ancestral origin other than blood. They are not actually Africa Americans because they are not actually from Africa like an Italian American is from Italy, or an Egyptian American is from Egypt. They were born here, so they shouldn't be called African American.

People who were actually born in Africa, THEN immigrated to the US are African Americans.

Now, the following is my opinion and some people may react negatively but I'm going to say it anyway:

I don't hate black people, but I think the main stay of black American culture is a decrepit piece of shit. I'm talking about the perverted, disgusting mess of hip hop culture that infects the US right now, existing predominately among blacks. This has nothing to do with genes or their race, but has everything to do with their culture. Not all black people in the US are this way, but a lot of them are. They are the cause of their horrible problems, but they constantly blame the white man or the US government for it all, thus avoiding ever having to make necessary changes. They commit ridiculous amounts of crime, they are raised to hate society, rebel against authority figures including the people who are trying to educate them, they are raised to hate white people etc..

Black Americans who were actually born IN Africa are, in my observation, are simply of higher caliber than black Americans whose families have been here for centuries. They work harder, they are nicer, they don't commit crime as much, they do not employ reverse-racism against whites etc...

So in conclusion, I have nothing against black people. I don't think their race is inferior, because I know black people who are incredibly smart, successful, good people. But I am secure in saying that the majority of "African Americans" have major, major issues and represent the lowest rung of American society because of it.

Ok, for a serious answer, I will say the following:

First of all, when you speak of AFRICAN americans, to me it sounds stupid. Maybe past generations came from africa, but there have been many generations now in between and to call themselves african american is NOT politically correct, it's missleading and wrong. Americans, or blacks. Period. There is no need to add extra words.

If you are talking however about the actual black people from africa, it's a different story. I do not believe these two groups hate each other, at least not that I have seen. There is maybe a standard level of desdain for purity issues I guess, but otherwise, I see no more racism than any other particular race. People hate people for being people, not the color of skin, wether it's a similar shade or not, that is just an excuse.

I am not caucasian really, I am of hispanic descent, but for the purpose of answering your question I am offering an answer as a third party kind of thing. Personally, I believe that minorities in general (us hispanics included) have stopped being racist towards caucasians as a whole, we jus discriminate against those who discriminate against us...with the appropiate exceptions as they happen in any argument, there will ALWAYS be exceptions, and some areas will show a more pronunciated hatred or racism than others, but that does not make it true for the rest of the world / population.

but I am moving away from the question, sorry. As far as africans vs US black, I guess if there is ANY reason to discriminate it would be in a similar way as frnace having desdain for people from quebec here in Canada. It's not racism, but there are cultural differences the "original" population disagrees on.

Another possible reason is the blacks in the US who keep using the whole "hundreds of years of slavery argument", which honestly is null and void by now, since the ones that ttry to play this card have never really experienced that kind of extremist racism, segregation or anything like that, it's just something they can use to rouse even more hatred and it works. i mean, these so called minorities don't have a right to complain about oppresion when they haven't experienced real one personally, and in reality, they influence most of todays' pop culture, from the way people talk, dress, music that people listen too...There aren't even token black people on movies anymore, there are token WHITE people. Maybe because they are influencing society this much may cause jealousy from the real oppressed or poor real minority of blacks, namely the african ones. I don't know, just a theory.

Then again, I am mostly full of shit, this is just an uneducated answer based on what I have seen so far. Maybe I have not seen the worst of it, or like I mentioned, maybe it is more pronunciated in other places, like the US or maybe even other countries, but it is my opinion and that is what you asked for.

Africans who recently came from africa i think are some very considerate people.i knew someone from cameroon and he was a lively and friendly person.But the african americans who have already become instilled within america are kind of aggressive.
