It's pretty basic.

The enemy spears seem like they should be able to beat any attack you have easily if health was coded up. You could get it going so that when you block the enemy animation responds to this in that their attacks are deflected. Get a better dying animation going for when the enemy is hit by the sword as well.

Things to work on:
That when you attack you damage/kill only one enemy
Better collisions of the |s| attack, when the enemy is next to you you cannot kill him.
When pressing jump and left at the same time, the player jumps but the jump animation does not play.
Better animation, especially the jump and attacks.
Make the FPS higher cause the game seems slow and clunky.
Combos.

I agree. The animation is pretty bad but im really sure that this will get better soon.

lol thanks guys but the ai was worse than that a while back lol

im gonna work on it... anyways i was trying to find an animator but couldnt so i just quickly added those deaths

today ima put blocking into the game

but the hp will be tricky since ill have to have it attached

i might just make dif enemys and stages tho and use these guys as in betweens ya know like before the boss lol

okay fied the no blocking thing

now if u press block (w)

and they hit u

the spear will bounce back

and this gives u a quick opening to strike
hit test for sword fixed

a combo = might add another attack

a+ a c0mbo

and

s combo = didnt make one yet

and

d combo = didnt make one yet

anything else that i missed out on?

lol and dont take note but look where the spear hits you

i didnt plan that
i made them in 2 seperate files then copied and pasted with same y lol and it just happen
still funny

When you get to the left of the screen you cant see whats in front of you :/
The blocking is a nice feature

what do you mean by that?

wait nvm

thats because this is intended to be a walk ahead kind of game

and ill make it so that the enemy spawns in just certain spots
instead of the way it is now

yeah the block thing was annoying

but idk whether i shud make it so that the enemy can break your block

or your block can be limited by a stamina bar which will gain with each kill and lose with each block

I think the block should have to be timed, so if you block and no one attacks, it leaves you open for attack for a short while

u mean if blocktimer = 3

block =false
and timer go back to 0
and if block is hit and timer<=3
timer goes back to 0

that way on 3 seconds if u havent been hit .

but how would i make it so that u cant block right away like in between blocks

thatd be another timer?

thats a little confusing i cant even think of how id code that lol

a script that made no sense u acid head

mess around with the new combos try doing the s one in the air

the s combo is s then hold s
it helped me make the air system thing
coming later

you have about one second in air to do a combo with s
just mess around with it youll get it
also a a is a combo now
and parry added

still need hp system

Nice start, and in my opinion the graphics are pretty good.
Stuff to improve:
The character controls feel uber stiff. You should try to make it so that when the player stands still he does the attacks he does now, but if the player presses forward or back the char should move/make a step and strike. That would make it feel less stiff. Same goes for jumping, jumping without pressing left or right should be straight up and if left or right are pressed in the specific direction.

The sword punches feel like they don't actually hit. Makes the whole thing look stiff aswell. Try to give an object if it gets hit a small force bump into the specific direction. Meaning if baddie stands right to you and you hit him from left side he gets thrown back to right a little. Another important thing to make it look better are showing the inpact with particles like blood or light flashes and the like done in beat em ups.

If you get these two things sorted out it probably will already feel a big deal better to play.

wait i got confused on the first part i can fix the jump and add hitest friction but you confused me with the first part lol

and ill make sum light effects and stuff for damage but please elaborate the stiff thing ur talking about

Plain and simple, the character should be able to do attacks while standing, but also be able to walk while attacking/during a sword strike/punch.

And it would improve the effect of impact if the enemy that got hit by the sword would get thrown back a little / simple blow back effect. All you have to do is add a force to the enemy velocity that leads in the direction of the attack and the friction/gravity should do the rest.

I don't know thats explained in plain english. Is it clear now? ^^

It doesn't look very smooth, doesn't look like it's done very profesionally. But I guess that you didn't use flash for many years so it's pretty good, seems like you're on the right path.

There are many little things that could be done better but I can't see any major flaws.

the ai script is long as hell and im not copy pastying it

that wont teach you how to code it

i jsut combined a bunch of things i found around to make it do that

but also this is a demo your guy is an indian who left and returned to find his village against him
and now they are on the attack

more detail later

but ummm LEECH
i dont get how you want me to make a walking attack
for my attacks i could set it so that u can move while its on but the attack animation will still play and just slide over...thats pointless

unless ur talking about implementing that style they have in Arcane... go play it its on front page
thats the what i think your getting at

and that would completely work wrong here
oh damn just noticed i didnt fix the jumping eek
