Fully, mine is Synthetic Music Apparatus, but that was too long for a user-name here, so I had to shorten it to SMA. I took the name from Aldous Huxley's Brave New World: "And when, exhausted, the Sixteen had laid by their saxophones and the Synthetic Music apparatus was producing the very latest in slow Malthusian Blues, they might have been twin embryos gently rocking together on the waves of a bottled ocean of blood-surrogate."

Mine went along with my favorite saying at the time.

"Connect to a new age in hip-hop"

Then came up with DJ-Connect. "DJ-Connect, Connecting you into a new age in hip-hop!" Kind of catchy I think.

Hah, for a while there was this flash put-putt game I was obsessed with. It was multiplayer, and had a chat room, and they needed a username every time you went on. So, I'd been thinking about all these great random/funny/awesome names on these popular websites. Like: Egoraptor, Legendaryfrog, Rubber-Ninja, and others.
So I thought to myself, what about PANTS? Random, original, and and can be added to when needed!
Thus, pants was born. It has since taken many forms, Such as: Lord-Pants, Awesome-pants,Mad-Pants, and so on and so forth.
And then I got interested in music, and needed a name for the audio portal, a name that let everyone know at once what I was all about.
Hence: Musical-Pants

(Takes bow, waves goodbye with cheery smile)

Echoz- as in a reflection of sound.

Aurora- as in the Aurora Borealis, the spectacular lightshow created by the radiation emitted by the sun as it hits our ionosphere.

I make music, and have an obsession with space. Music that is a reflection of space?.. I dunno exactly how I came up with it.

But yeah, I made it in '06 when I decided to start uploading moosic to the interweb, and started putting my stuff on myspace.

Sig by Writer's Block. NY blows, but the pretzels still rock.
I just finished a remix of the Gorillaz' Feel Good Inc.
Check it out! Echoz- Feel Good Rmx

I came up my "artist" name over 10 years ago when i started to compose music. I also used the same name when me and my friends had some LAN parties and after several music compos people started to know me more musician SyTeQ than gamer. Before that i imagine myself as AcidGem, but that name was already taken so SyTeQ started to fit more and more in :) And that name has kind of electro spice in it xD

I like writing music, failure to find inspiration to write is called "Writer's block". I picked it as my username in December 2006 signing up for a music site, and I've stuck with it ever since. It also shows that I'm witty.

Video games. Yup.

I discovered music with video games when i was like 5 or 6. The game named "Deflektor" was my favorite and i loved the music, written by Ben Daglish. Since then, i lived with video games as music, as hobby, even as friends (i was a lonely boy, back then).

The name I used to have, navij11, was a somewhat edited version of my school network ID. I was stuck with it ever since. However, since Nav sounds cooler and because I wanted to be in the 3-letter-name club with SBB and Rig, I got it changed when I won that MAC, just like Rig did!

My name flashmac wasn't originally my music name. In '06, when I signed up, I was into flash and I use a mac computer. When you add them both what do you get? Flashmac. Lame, I know, haha. When I got into music and started uploading, I didn't feel like changing it, thus my producing name is flashmac.

Well, I'm not quite sure. I think it was influenced by certain T.V. shows I watched, and my general outloook on things. You always have a choice.

LJC is a monogram

I am waging active warfare on my kidneys. They piss me off more than most organs.

(small pun intended)

I asked a doctor - well, sort of a doctor I think... I remember that he had a labcoat on. It could have just been a smock or maybe a dirty tee-shirt though - it's all a bit fuzzy... I know for certain that he was either in the park or out behind the police station. Regardless, he was cupping his balls in one hand and coughing, so naturally, I assumed that he was simply checking himself for a hernia. I remember thinking "This guy is probably a doctor", so I asked him if single malt was the best way to insure renal failure. At the time I was imbibing a lot of it thinking that was the best way to go. The park doctor coughed some more and checked himself for hernias again, then told me I looked like I needed a cup of coffee. It just so happened that he had an extra one in his pocket so I drank it. Then he checked me for hernias a few times and to be sure, he checked both himself and me at the same time... I figured it was good science - always have a control group. I loved it so much (I'm talking about the coffee now - not the hernia check, although that was fun too) that I started drinking it more and more. Years later, I found myself up to around 2-3 pots per day so I started using "coffee" as a screen name here and there. On sites where "coffee" wasn't available I would use "LJCoffee" - see? cuz the coffee word starts with the same letter as the last letter in my monogram... convenient aint it? Where was I? Oh, right... so after a few sites I just started using "LJCofee" for all of them... I am now up to maybe 3 pots on an average day, 5-6 if I have a heavy workload and need to pull an all-nighter. I think I've all but destroyed the kidneys will to fight. I am so gonna win this one!

Actually my whole artist name is SkyMarshall Arts, but I fucked it up when I registered.

Anyway, ever seen the movie "Starship Troopers"? Well, the military commander in chief there is ranked as a "skymarshall", and I started using that for online names. And then when I started to make music "seriously" - I thought of Martial Arts .... and thereof SkyMarshall Arts.

Silly ... but original at least.

I got TheComet from that comet that was visible to the naked eye in the mid 90's, I was a total space+sci fi nut back then

As for Sybol Downs, that came from me mispelling "Symbol" countless times on a science assignment, figured it sounded pretty cool of a name, then later found out that "Seibal" or something similar to that (couldn't find the exact spelling) was a female doomsayer during the Roman Empire's time, which is really when I got a bit attached to the name since it sounds like a male version of it.

latch on DJ before one or the other and there ya go. DJ Comet for now, DJ Sybol I may use if I get signed (there are alot of DJ Comets apparently D: )

Breaktrance, DnB, Breakbeat, Jungle, Trance, Goa, Hardcore, Noizecore...the whole bit.
