I know this really doesn't have to do with flash but what do they mean by no transparency? I assume they mean no white but i could be wrong. Help!

When you export and image as a .png or as a .gif you can have the option to make the non-drawn background transparent (see-through) so you can then put that image on top of other images and so on.

Basically, if you export your icon image as a .jpg you should be fine, if you choose to export it as a .gif make sure the transparency box is unchecked.
