It's for my upcoming movie "Run For Your Life" (Which is live action, not flash). You can read about it here. but I wanted to make a cool looking poster for it.
I drew and shaded this in flash, then I took it into PS for more shading/highlights and color correction. Here is a high res version.
Do you guys think this will attract people?

The "Run for life" text is kinda dark.. It needs a little more contrast with the background. Another thing, aren't movie posters suppose to be taller than longer?

Otherwise its a very cool poster and it sure would attract me.

If you're not reading Twisted Comix what is your life about?

Both of the things I picked up on. Perhaps giving the text an outer glow (if you are using photoshop) would give it a nice finish. It could do with a bit more touching up, like if you are trying to make it look a bit more professional add actors and whatnot. Just a suggestion though, looks good so far :)

Yeah I agree about the text, but since it is a poster for the net, I don't really have to conform to the usual stuff.

Thanks

I think he meant the size as it is often more portrait than landscape on real life posters

listen to MC he speaks the truth!

Its good you dont want be the same as everyone else, but there are principles of design to take into account while you make your poster.

You dont see car designers excluding wheels and doors in their designs, they take the necessities of making a successful car and give them their own design flare.

I hope a lesson has been learned here :)

ps. the face looks quite cool

To be totaly honest with you the onslaugh of modern poster designs hardly use "illustrations" in the form of characters. I think using one of your actors as the image would vastly improve this piece.

The text as many people have stated is a little to dark for the background, i understand that you're trying to keep the piece dark and moody but at the moment somthing about it doesn't really look right.

As i stated earlier i would love to see a version where the actor playing the part of that character was put in the place of the illustrated character just to see the contrast in the two.

Good luck.

Yeah its definately not the real poster I will use.
It's more of concept art to get my actors into it.
