I'll have to agree. See, that's just cultural ignorance. Laddie, is a Scottish term for a bairn or wean. It's only derogatory in the sense that it's extremely ageist. I'd also like to point out that the SCUM English bastardised the word Laddie to mean cabin boy/atendee.
