Hello,

I have bought flash over the internet legally some time ago.
I recently formatted my computer.

Now I want to get flash but what I usually do is download the trial and enter my serial.
Adobe told me to order a CD which I don't want to do and I'm currently away from all my flashy friends (geographically).

Does anyone know where I could get the flash trial (or a flash version that doesn't work unless you enter the serial)?

I don't want anything illegal since I have a legal serial number and paying money for having to downloading an illegal version is very stupid...

thanks in advance for any reply.

Unfortunately, you're gonna have to wait for July the 1st for the trial.
And that's if you have the serial for THAT flash version.

Otherwise, no clue, sorry.

Yeah, I said that up there.

Why he logs in when he's here I will never know...

Doomsday-One, working on stuff better than preloaders.

By the way, I made the 'Create an Animated Sprite' preloader for Sprite TV 3!

Adobe has temporarily halted distribution of Flash CS3 trial until July First most likely due to CS3.5 (or 3.3, I always forget where they are) coming out.

If you bought your copy online you can login with your Adobe account and find the download section to redownload your copy. Copies bought elsewhere you need a disc or to wait until July for the download section to come back up.

I know it's inconvenient but hey, it's Adobe.

Whatever happened to your affiliations with them, anyway? :P

Oh, FAQ by the way:

During the month of June 2008, certain product trials that are launched for the first time (regardless of when they were installed) will function for only one day instead of 30 days, due to an error in a line of code that counts down the remaining days in a trial. You will not experience this issue if you have launched your trial before June 1, 2008, or do not launch it until July 1 or thereafter.

We understand that trials are an important tool to experience the new features of a product. However, this issue would have resulted in a frustrating situation for a large number of customers - an experience that just does not meet the high standards we have set for all of our products and solutions. We invite you to explore the other resources available on Adobe.com in order to experience the products in action.

For anyone who was wondering.

Where did you hear about the new version of CS3, by the way? I'd like to see how many bugs they've ironed out, but I can't find any information on it on Adobe's site.

I believe 3.3 or 3.2 or whatever they are calling it is merely an extension of their software branches to include Adobe Acrobat 10, which just released.

Well making the error in the code in the first place doesn't strike me as high standards.

If it's a 'line of code' like they say, I don't see why they can't just patch/change it rather than just deny access to it until July.

It caused a chain reaction resulting in them lying and having to "improve and fix it".

It's against licensing terms and Adobe protocol to allow 3rd-party sites to distribute the trial version of the program.

Yeah, I realised that they had a download section there like 10 minutes after I posted... I feel stupid -_-
