Getting drunk at a party

I went to a party last night, and, being 15, refrained from drinking.
I had an alright time, spoke to a few old friends, enjoyed the circus of people being off their faces.
The thing is, I didn't know all too many people, so had I gotten drunk, would I have had more fun? Socialised more?
So newgrounds, does getting drunk make you more sociable? Do you have more fun?

Getting drunk only makes you more social if you're a complete spaz without any sort of stimulate.

But if you're moderately socially competent, alcohol will probably hold you back.

The only thing alcohol really does is make you more confident and make you embarrass yourself, but if everyone is drunk, somehow it's very funny.

it will obviously make you more sociable, and meet people.... but you really shouldnt rely on alcohol for social situations. and alot of the time the first impressions people get of you while drunk arent very good.

getting drunk can make you more sociable, but it can also result in those "greatest times you'll never remember." When I go to parties, I'm always sure to have plenty of bud on me. I never drink.

I had a few people come over last night. They were really nice. I even got a girls number. :)

But sadly, around the end of the night. A few of them started drinking to hard. Then everyone got all depressed. This one girl started crying because of her ex-boyfriend committing suicide in a jail cell. (He had spit personality's and a whole bunch of mental illnesses...)

Another guy started crying because he caught his wife cheating on him with another man. They're getting a divorce.....

Also, one of the guys (Who's not allowed at my house anymore) threw a beer bottle in my next door neibors yard and almost broke their bird feeder.

This is one of the reasons I don't drink. It just messes with your head and in most cases, ruins a good party. So no, I think you would of had a bad time if you drank....

drunk people make the best conversation. If you're a teenager and you're at a party it is pretty much your duty to get drunk and do stupid shit you will regret but it is fun anyone who says any different is a social outcast (::

And to all the people saying "oh you get all depressed and throw up when drunk", you need to find some more exciting friends. no offence, but if thats your view of alcohol then you really havnt seen the good side of it lol

there are varying degrees of drunk. If you drink enough to get shit faced you'll enjoy vomiting all night in front of a toilet like some of my friends. that's not really fun for anyone to watch. a few drinks won't hurt, but wait a few years until you're older. That way you lower your chances of experiencing the first scenario i described.

ahh come on, the first time you drink to get drunk, you're pretty much guaranteed to get wasted. good memories there, good memories indeed :)

I have more fun when drunk because i become more outgoing. It's not like a few nights of drinking are going to fuck you up forever.

I see those drink aware adverts based on the party atmosphere on TV, they show how you can be good if you drink a little but shows it is bad if you drink a lot.
