It's all a lie... Mario is really a fat homeless naked guy from new jersy who spends most of his day high on PCP terrozing the nighborhood with is crazy visions of monsters from another dimension.

He's been arrested multiple times for trying to squash black toddlers.

He usually pleads the insanity plea which only lands him a few years in jail... of which he's often released early on due to good behavior. Everytime he gets free, he does PCP... so far, he's claimed to have done everything from seige castles to visit outer space...

The PCP also explains his super human strength durring Tennis matches and prison soccer games.

Mario is just plain OSSIM. His games are always Guud. Hope he can continue like this

personally, I think captain Olimar is one of the most bad ass nintendo characters, even though he doesn't really do any heroic deeds.

WRONG! Play the retro Sonic games (and many others) and you'll see that if he lands on spikes, he loses rings (a little amount of HP if he's a werehog in Sonic Unleashed). He only dies in spikes if they crush him and Mario would die as well.

With just ONE RING, Sonic can withstand any amount of damage. It's when he has 0 rings that he's vulnerable to death.

Also, you have no evidence so don't give stupid information without facts backing up your point.

So can Sonic, except he is very humble about it and only uses it to save someone (maybe because it exhausts him a hell lot?). He also can stay afloat on water but causes a ton of splash.

If you have ever watched that crappy show Sonic X, you will see him dive into the ocean to pull Amy out from the ocean floor. He actually goes underwater, he takes nothing with him.

Also, he's a rock when he falls into the water. It's not like he dies instantly if he falls into water (as proven in Sonic DX, all 3 Sonic Advance games, and even Sonic Unleashed although only in 1 area in Sonic Unleashed.) He dies when he falls in water because it's treated as a bottomless pit in most cases.

Besides, swimming doesn't matter if he has to get across a body of water. He can run on water so there.
