Yes, there are. In most places you cannot carry a blade longer than 8 inches, otherwise it is considered a deadly weapon. Besides, I think a 14 year-old with a replica Chinese wodoa would set off alarms anyway.
Just a little tip, those things, although kinda cool to hold, are very flimsy. Fight the urge to swing it wildly indoors, as the blade has a tendency to come loose from the handle, especially if the handle is of the type that are no more than reinforced thick cardboard-like material.
If you'd like, I can show you a website where you can purchase very nice, more sturdy blades at a somewhat inexpensive price ($100-$150), or, I could show you where to buy a handmade blade strong enough to cut through bamboo like a pillow for $800-$1,000, big boys only ;)
