Seriously i go to search a topic with more than 20 chars and this shitty message comes say that i can put more than 20 chars into it. seriously wtf?Your title can be over 20chars but you cant even type the name in the searchbar. Is that dumb or what?

Agreed, search on this site is shit. And I don't understand why, it would only take a few lines of code to fix it.

You can't search by Topic creator
You can't search by forum location
You can't search by creation date, month, or year
You can't search for "PS3" "Wii" or any other popular 3 letter terms
You can't re-sort your returned results

I could go on but what's the point. We've all bitched about it since day 1 and they've never cared enough to fix it. Why would they change it now?

I supplied an alternative to get around the character limit. How is that dumb?

I agree the NG search character limit could be raised and tweaked to take relevance into account but I don't think that will change any time soon.

Actually, no, that shows all the posts by the user. Meaning if the user has a lot of posts and only a small amount of topics it would be almost impossible to find them.
